There are now, officially, alot of people involved in this song. It started as a Jamie xx track that remixed Gil Scott-Heron's I'll Take Care of You, before Drake recently got hold of it and added Rihanna into the mix and changed it's name to Take Care . Now the batton has been picked up yet again, this time by Florence Welch, as she covered it on Friday as she performed for BBC Radio 12s Live Lounge. This is the first time i've seen this happen. An indie rock band do a hip-hop RnB cover. The Results? Outstanding! There is no one with a voice like Florence Welch and no other Hip Hop artist with the writing capabilities of Drake. This cover is really unexpected and groundbreaking. Take a look.

Florence + The Machine covering Drake ? Just the idea of it is pretty crazy; the realization that it happened is even more so. I really hope this ends up being the next Take Care single. The song itself topped iTunes last Tuesday. First week numbers for the album weren't too bad either. The 660,000 it pushed made it his biggest first week ever. "Take Care" has easily become one of my heaviest rotated songs. It's not easy to express deep emotion and vulnerability while still make it sound so catchy and easy on the ears. [...]

Florence & The Machine swung by BBC's Live Lounge the other day and decided to put their own spin on Drake's "Take Care". Easily the most talented ginger in the business - I don't think that's a question right now. A little Florence and Drake collaboration would work out swimmingly (see what I did there??). I don't get excited about mainstream records too often these days, but there's always a rare exception. For me, it seems like every time a new Drake record comes out I geek out like a teenage girl at a Twilight premiere. Looking at my FB wall and the blogosphere chatter, I know I'm not the only one. And you know what, I'm not even going to say this is a guilty pleasure or any nonsense like that. The second half drags and sticking with it and getting to the end is quite a challenge (I say this as someone who isn’t too fond of this genre). "Crew Love" might be on a Drake album, but this song is truly defined by the ethereal sexuality that has come to be the watermark of Abel Tesfaye's sonic persona, The Weeknd. That doesn't mean that Drake's verses don't contribute to this track's strengths. In fact, his nasal and conversational rhyming both clash with and compliment Tesfaye's vocals perfectly, creating two ontological spaces on "Crew Love"-the one in your head and the one that your crew sees. It's a song about the public and private self, and, more importantly, the battle that ensues between those two identities.
Take Care has taken over my rotation as of late, and rightfully so. To celebrate the release a bit more, Star Slinger adds his two cents to the opening track of the album, "Over My Dead Body". While the original is more minimalist, Slinger speeds things up with crisps drums and some fresh vocal effects. Take Care is available now!

Aubrey is probably the easiest target in hip-hop. The wimpy kid that all the bullies pick on just because, even none bullies will give him a wedgie or a wet willie for no true reason. Since i enjoy his emo music when the sun goes down i try not to participate in the slander but sometimes you come across something so genius it blows your mind.
