For any sub-category of notable humans with above-average amounts of wealth, Forbes has written a list ranking those notable humans in order of accumulated wealth. Their latest list focuses on the five top-earning hip-hop moguls of 2013 . Why only five? Well, so they can do a completely different list of the Top 10 hip-hop moguls later this year. Diddy (Forbes helpfully informs us he "rose to mainstream fame in the late 1990s rapping about his desire for Benjamins, otherwise known as $100 bills") is in the #1 [...]

Want to know who the five wealthiest artists are in hip-hop? Well, you can just look above this text right now to see who's making the most dough in 2013. Go ahead, do it, I won't judge you. According to the Forbes Rich List for 2012 , Dr. Dre topped the charts as the highest earning musician with an income of $110 million last year. The rapper and music producer, who trumped Pink Floyd star Roger Walters and Elton John to reach top billing, owes the financial accolade largely to the success of his Beats by DRE headphones range, which accounted for a large chunk of his annual paycheck. Dr. Dre’s hi-tech headphones, with their iconic ‘b’ logo, have become an A-list accessory, with celebrities like Eminen, Snoop Dogg, Katie Holmes, Didier Drogba and Wayne Rooney [...]

According to 50 Cent who was in Paris recently promoting his line of headphones, Dr Dre's now oft-delayed "Detox" may end up being an EP of only five to six songs. Considering the extended wait and Dre's love of working with new talent, it appears (at least to Fif) that the interest in the project has died down even for it's main creator.
