Filed under: News Jason Persse for AOL Heading into the final day of Coachella 2012, one fact hovered over everyone: We already knew about the Tupac Hologram . What surprises could the day hold? The specter of Sunday's guest from beyond the grave seemed to haunt the other bands as well. Wild Flag 's Carrie Brownstein pointed out that the desert head made it "a good day to be a [...]
Sunday was the first real day of Coachella-esque weather (Sun!!! And heat!), and so it was fitting to start the day in the audience of Lissie , the tannest white chick I have seen outside of Hollywood. She’s a singer songwriter whose music is a little hard to engage with, not because it’s dissonant or angry, but because it’s deceptively accessible. You might even call it boring , until you set a spell and really listen to the no-holds-barred, truly introspective lyrics coming out of her. Imagine if, say, Taylor Dane picked up an acoustic guitar and started [...]

Tupac 's hologram might be the rapper everyone's talking about this week, but he's got nothing on The Forbes Five , a shortlist of the five wealthiest artists in hip-hop compiled by Forbes . This year's lucky five fellows (maybe next year, Nicki Minaj ) includes Jay-Z , Dr. Dre , Birdman , 50 Cent and Diddy , who comes out on top with a net [...]
Forbes has released the Forbes Five, its annual shortlist of rap's wealthiest artists. 20122s top earners—Diddy, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Bryan "Birdman" Williams and 50 Cent, in that order—were also 20112s top earners, and rankings on ... read more

The warm weather had finally arrived - and with it the outrageous outfits and beautiful women that Coachella is so well known for. Sunday's lineup was easily the most stacked, turning my festival experience into a marathon. I arrived at the festival at 2pm just in time to catch Anton Zaslavski, better known as Zedd, attack the Sahara tent with a barrage of complextro remixes. In fact, most of my day was spent camping the Sahara tent, catching Flux Pavillion & Doctor P, Porter Robinson, Dada Life and Calvin Harris [...]

Bummed you missed/will miss out on the impressive (if not a smidge creepy) spectacle of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg bringing Tupac Shakur to the Coachella stage last/next weekend? Things might be turning in your favor, as a new report suggests that Dre and Snoop are entertaining the idea of a joint tour - one which would see them bringing along the virutal 'Pac. According to The Wall Street Journal , "a person familiar with the discussions" claims discussions are planned to address [...]

Who: Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on the main stage. In 3 or Fewer Words: All-star show. Memorable Because: There were rumors that Eminem would show up and that turned out to be true. But what most people didn't know is that Dre and Snoop would be raising the dead, exactly one week after Easter. Thrilling and shocking fans, 2Pac made a special appearance. Although just a hologram (but a really solid hologram), all those people out there claiming the rapper had just been in hiding all this time [...]
What is turning out to be one of the most talked about sets of the week is Snoop and Dre's set from yesterday. Aside from the enormous guest list that included Wiz Khalifa, 50 Cent, Eminem, and Warren G, there also was incredibly well done Hologram of the one and only Tupac Shakur! Watch the full [...]

Day three of weekend one of Coachella 2012 is in the books, and you can replay Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's entire headlining performance below. The rumors proved true as the guest-heavy performance featured appearances by Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Warren G, and holograms of Tupac (!) and Nate Dogg. The career-spanning setlist kicked off with "The New Episode", "Gin N Juice, and "Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang". Nate Dogg's hologram then appeared for "Ain't No Fun (If The Homies Can't Have None)", Kendrick Lamar performed his new Dre-aided single "The Recipe", and Wiz Khalifa [...]
Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg closed this year's Coachella festival in spectacular style with an array of talent both living and dead as they were backed by 50 Cent, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and a resurrected 2Pac & Nate Dogg in Hologram form.
There's not really much point me saying much about Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg's performance at Cochella earlier today. This is definitely a case where it's best to let the pictures do the talking. Or holograms, as the case may be. So watch on below as the good Doctor and the Big Boss Dogg burn through a ton of classic tunes backed by a tight band and some questionable haircuts (I see you, Snoop). Oh, it's not just a two man show, mind you. Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar and Wiz Khalifa all [...]
