So what do you get when 3 of the biggest names in hip hop come together for one amazing collabo? Well apparently you get a pretty lackluster track that sounds as if it was pieced together as quickly as possible with no real effort put into it. But when the video gets released it has to be better, right? Well once again it seems like apparently not. In what looks to be a fan created pieced together group of clips that take the literal words of the song and show a picture or brief clip of [...]
Rick Ross's new album, God Forgives I Don't , is available at digital and physical retailers everywhere today. To celebrate the release, the Big Bawse has unleashed a viral video for the track "3 Kings." Before you get too excited, though, the video does not actually feature Dr. Dre and Jay, but is a montage of the rappers in the various stages of their careers. Take a trip down memory lane: Video: Rick Ross - "3 Kings" ft. Dr. Dre & [...]

50 Cent just released a free album, but he already has plans for his next release. The rapper has announced that his fifth studio album, Street King Immortal , will be released on November 13. The album will be preceded by first single, "New Day." You may recognize the beat and the hook as Alicia Keys previously released a version of the track that is produced by her husband, Swizz Beatz. But 50 adds some new verses and a guest appearance from Dr. Dre to give the [...]

There was a lot of hype for this track, I mean, Jay and Dre on a track? Didn't ring anything special with me, but check it out for yourself below. Ross ' God Forgives I Don't will drop at the end of this month.

There really hasn't been all that much to be excited about in the hip hop world as of late, so when word dropped that a collabo of this calibur was coming together, one couldn't help but get their hopes up. I mean, Rick Ross , Dr. Dre and Jay-Z all on the same track, it just had to blow the socks off anything else out there currently. But I think when something gets you as hyped as what Rick Ross is calling "the biggest collaboration in hip-hop" you kind of get the feeling that the [...]

The Vevo machine unleashed this video of Dr. Dre & Kendrick Lamar performing their single "The Recipe" (apparently now the lead single from Kendrick's good kid, m.A.A.d city ) at Coachella last March. Look closely for cameos from Snoop Dogg & Hologram Tupac . This performance video is apparently a 'band-aid' until the official video drops, with requisite shots of chickenheads flocking by the pool. via Complex Video: Dr. Dre - "The Recipe" ft. XV makes a freestyle over Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre 's track "The Recipe". He entitled the track "Stone Cold (3:16)"
What a great way to start of the week! "The Recipe" is Kendrick's first single from his next album through Aftermath and Interscope. It's been a while since I've heard Dr. Dre on a track and not felt he seemed out of place. Then again its been a while since I've heard a Dr. Dre track. This one is a jam.
The Recipe from TopDawg Ent on Vimeo . Morning all. At the request of blogfather Jamarcus who is on a plane headed south, I am posting the highly anticipated new Kendrick Lamar single featuring Dr. Dre. When Marc first heard this song it was called Women Weed and Weather and Damien Marley was on it. Produced by Scoop Deville, it's smooth and kind of wonderful and definitely going to be big. Hear it here first. Is it everything you hoped it would be? Listen: Kendrick Lamar featuring Dr. Dre - [...]

If you don't count Look Out For Detox , this is the first track that this best of both worlds duo has put out. Has it lived up to the hype? I think you answer yes. All of the Top Dawg members tweeted this video early this morning, giving their fans a nice audio breakfast to wake up to. To put it simple, this song is dope. The West Coast is standing up tall right now!
I tried to keep these songs as West Coast as possible, but I had to throw that Stevie and Sam track in there. Shouts out to Seattle. The Green Brothers - I Get Lifted Dr. Dre - Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang Cal-Luv - Changes Big Mack - Countin Money Odd Future - Money Talk (Super 3 Feat. Casey Veggies And Hodgy Beats) Jake One [...]

Can't call it surprising, but definitely an exciting move today as Kendrick Lamar and the rest of the TDE Family officially sign with Aftermath Records. Kendrick's official debut album Good Kid in a Mad City and any other Black Hippy projects will be released via a TDE/Interscope/Aftermath joint partnership. Congrats to TDE & Black Hippy. I'll be expecting Eminem, Truth Hurts, Rakim, Slim The Mobster, Stat Quo and Bishop Lamont on that new Kendrick album. And The Firm.
Play this, spark one, and relive good times. T-h-r-o-w-b-a-c-k. No Diggity (feat. Dr Dre) - Blackstreet
This was slightly unexpected and left me feeling sort of weird. Snoop Dogg (rocking a full blood-red Adidas tracksuit & Beats By Dre headphones) & Dr. Dre rocked their classic collaboration from '20012 for a bunch of Asian electronics consumers at the other AMA's. Is 'Detox' still a thing? Props to 2Dope for alerting me to this most recent Dr. Dre sighting. drink the kool aid:
Had to do it. Here's a playlist of some of my favorite West Coast tracks, mostly from the G-Funk era. When people think West Coast, this is some of the stuff they'll hear playing in their head. I hope you enjoy this gangsta sh*t. 11/5 - Brousin' The Luniz - Playa Hata Watts Gangstas - Fuct in the Game [...]
At a recent L.A show, Kendrick Lamar got praised by all of Los Angeles, including Snoop Dogg, The Game, and Dr. Dre. The torch has officially been passed, and it is time for Kendrick to put the West Coast on his back. Shouts out to the YouTube channel 'dudegotbars' for posting this historic moment. No matter what you have to say about Watch The Throne , Jay-Z does own one throne and that is the top of the 2011 Rapper’s Forbes List. Jay-Z pulled off the hat trick and has topped the list three times in a row. Gathering just under 40 million dollars in for 2011. I see his 2012 stock rising because of Watch The Throne . Mr. Swag or Diddy comes through at numero dos with $35 million. Hov's WTT counter partner, Kanye West, brings in $16 million. Lil Wayne and his father Birdman both [...]

Wouldn't you know it, Uncle Otis has something else to share with the hip hop community. On this one he gets Snoop & Dr. Dre to grace a track together again. This head-scratching collaboration is probably on The R.E.D. Album coming sooner than we'd like. drink the kool aid:
