The specter of Sunday's guest from beyond the grave seemed to haunt the other bands as well. Wild Flag 's Carrie Brownstein pointed out that the desert head made it "a good day to be a [...]

The warm weather had finally arrived - and with it the outrageous outfits and beautiful women that Coachella is so well known for. Sunday's lineup was easily the most stacked, turning my festival experience into a marathon. I arrived at the festival at 2pm just in time to catch Anton Zaslavski, better known as Zedd, attack the Sahara tent with a barrage of complextro remixes. In fact, most of my day was spent camping the Sahara tent, catching Flux Pavillion & Doctor P, Porter Robinson, Dada Life and Calvin Harris [...]
Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News , Spinner Says Christopher Polk, Getty Images Short of working some "Jurassic Park" magic and actually resurrecting dead artists, the music industry has a new way to cash in on deceased superstars, thanks to Tupac Shakur 's "performance" at Coachella . Many media outlets and artists thought Tupac Shakur 's virtual resurrection at Coachella on Sunday was pretty much the coolest thing ever. The Los Angeles Times , however, called the stunt "a red herring, unnecessary and ill advised." Whichever side of the fence you're on, the projection of the deceased rapper may not be a onetime deal, given the amount of coverage the event has received. And according to one report, Shakur's comrades Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre [...]

According to the Wall Street Journal , sources close to Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have claimed the two will continue to tour with the controversial hologram of the late Tupac Shakur. This news comes by way of a recent Internet explosion after the two west coast legends pulled Tupac on stage at the Coachella festival this weekend. There are two possible digital Tupac scenarios. One, a massive tour with Eminem, 50 Cent, and others that we saw at Coachella. Or two, a smaller venue tour with just Snoop and Dre. Either way, sign us up.

Bummed you missed/will miss out on the impressive (if not a smidge creepy) spectacle of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg bringing Tupac Shakur to the Coachella stage last/next weekend? Things might be turning in your favor, as a new report suggests that Dre and Snoop are entertaining the idea of a joint tour - one which would see them bringing along the virutal 'Pac. According to The Wall Street Journal , "a person familiar with the discussions" claims discussions are planned to address [...]

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg closed down Coachella 2012 with a sprawling set that spanned throwback G-funk, all-time gangsta classics (thanks to that 2Pac hologram ), stoner anthems (thanks to Wiz Khalifa and a blunt big enough to mellow out a rhinoceros) and new jams (like "The Recipe" with Compton's own Kendrick Lamar ). Eminem and 50 Cent showed up too, probably ranking the performance as the [...]

Those "Tupac is alive" rumors just got a whole lot more relevant — and way more creepy. That talked-about hologram of Nate Dogg never surfaced, but late rapper Tupac Shakur , who was (allegedly?) gunned down in Las Vegas in September 1996, was projected during Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre 's set at Coachella last night in the Indio, California desert. Pac spit out his Don Killuminati hit "Hail Mary" solo before pairing up [...]

Hologram Tupac Warren G, 50 Cent, Eminem . They're all artists you'd expect to join Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre during their set at 2012 Coachella Music Festival last night. But Tupac Shakur ? Uh, no way. Well, the late, great rapper did indeed join Snoop and Dre on stage... as a hologram. The all-too-real-looking Pac hologram, which was shirtless, wearing Pac's signature saggy pants and Tims, and sporting all of Pac's iconic tattoos, blew the crowd's minds as he rapped "Hail Mary," then traded verses with [...]
There's not really much point me saying much about Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg's performance at Cochella earlier today. This is definitely a case where it's best to let the pictures do the talking. Or holograms, as the case may be. So watch on below as the good Doctor and the Big Boss Dogg burn through a ton of classic tunes backed by a tight band and some questionable haircuts (I see you, Snoop). Oh, it's not just a two man show, mind you. Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar and Wiz Khalifa all [...]

This is getting insane: According to Los Angeles radio station KROQ , Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's Coachella performance will feature holograms of not one, but two deceased hip-hop acts. In addition to Nate Dogg , Tupac will reportedly appear in hologram form in order to join Dr. Dre for a performance of "California Love" . KROQ and TMZ both report that the holograms will be produced by the same company that broadcast Mariah Carey’s image simultaneously across five stages last year. As previously reported, Dre and Snoop Dogg's set is [...]
