Nothing but pleasure in music i tell ya.. Ive been following this man for 2 years now and he has never disappointed, not one time in all of his craft making... If you haven't copped his early stuff, it's highly recommended you do... "OneLoveBeats" has own style of craft and hasn't shifted his thoughts through sense of play just yet...You still can sit back and drift away in rhythm...Also to add to it, if you heard the "Brother Nature" Christmas Album, Hooked Up Real J. Wallace and OneLoveBeats together to get some tracks done for the album, so take a [...]
Thanks to the people at CoS and LBYB for this one. It's a new EP from a Pittsburgh duo by the name of 1, 2, 3. And I guess that in a way, this release qualifies as children's music-well, it was written with the niece of vocalist Nic Snyder in mind. The five tracks on here are a series of bedtime tales-oh, maybe that makes it "dream pop"-which are sometimes pleasant and sometimes creepy. It's a winding dreamland of music. Enjoy! / via & via /

Pittsburgh rockers 1,2,3 have released a little New Years treat for all those needing to cure their hangover woes or lull their babies to sleep in the form of the five-song lullaby Dreamland, Pt. 1 (For Daisy) EP. Frontman Nic Snyder recorded the songs with his bandmates and friends as a present for his baby niece, and the recordings see the band going in a new, more ambient-focused direction. It may be a divergence from the band's usually energetic sound, but that sound still holds true on this EP, albeit with a more atmospheric and airy [...]

( email | facebook | twitter ) We originally published this article on May 25. Just a hunch: you don't feel you have a firm grasp on Her Name is Calla. Are we right? Certainly the best example is The Quiet Lamb : the sonic assault likely throws you off, and the extended lowercase passages do. At times the compositions play as brassy and imbalanced, as is evidenced by the apocalyptic "Into the West." [...]

Moonface - SKM I hate montages. Playing badminton for the first time in several months I keep thinking about how, in a few short weeks or months – just a montage away! – I'll be drastically skinnier and oh my how much better I'll be. Maybe I'll have attracted a girlfriend by then, seducing her with my precise serves and washboard abs, or maybe she'll fall for the masculine way I wipe the sweat off my forehead with a white hand towel. I have to keep reminding myself that time doesn't [...]

Certainly the best example is The Quiet Lamb : the sonic assault likely throws you off, and the extended lowercase passages do. At times the compositions play as brassy and imbalanced, as is evidenced by the apocalyptic "Into the West." At others, the thing pulses with erudition, even refinement (read: "Thief"). Now take [...]

WONDERLAND Dandy Teru Download Share Short Trip-Hop/Jazz EP by French beatmaker Teru performing under the name Massive Suits Quartet. Ooh how I love the hi-hats on these joints. Creating sounds with jazz breaks, samples, piano keys, and arrangement science. Massive Suits Quartet shares a cinematographic and electronic vision of jazz and trip hop music, with a touch of romanticism, WONDERLAND // [...]

Fuzzy/spacey Minnesota bred shoegazers, Gospel Gossip , are at it again with a west coast tour kicking off this Thursday and a new EP [title in the works] that will be out November 28th. The new song from the upcoming EP "Sippy Cup" is loaded with such guitar reverb that will cover your precious ears in a sound and intensity they have never felt before. It's good to see the gang push on and make the buzz. Hopefully 2010 will be their shining year if they decide to release an LP. MP3 :: Gospel [...]

The French chanteuse is back with a full-length all-English album titled The Big Machine that is supposed to drop on September 21st. "Dreamland" is supposed to be the first single. We hope she brings the louder beats to this and not just the sombre numbers. Posted in Beats, Eurobeat Tagged: album, Émilie Simon, big, download, dreamland, emilie, leak, machine, new, rip

Gospel Gossip - Dreamland My Thoughts: Love (<) Maybe I'm just randomly happening upon great Minnesotan groups, or maybe there's something in the lakes, but Minnesota is pumping out some terrific stuff these days. Gospel Gossip is a little 3 piece from Northfield, MN that creates free flowing, spacey melodies that churn into grinding indie rock ballads. A clear sense for the dramatic, GG's 6 track record clearly present's the bands knowledge and enthusiasm for creating lovely, [...]

Sounds like summer in Northfield, Minnesota. I'm talking about Minnesota's Gospel Gossip and their new EP Dreamland . Think dense 90's sounding alternative rock with strong female vocals. Why the summer metaphor? Because I'm sitting outside and it's humid as hell and nothing sounds better right now than Gospel Gossip's song Nashville. MP3 :: Gospel Gossip - Nashville You can buy their debut LP Sing Into My Mouth @ amazon dot com. They're not on Insound. Which is weird because they deserve much more coverage. Maybe [...]

On June 26, Dreamland drops at the Turf Club.

The first time I saw Madeleine Peyroux was at Fez, in New York in 1996, when she released her debut album on Atlantic, Dreamland . I didn't get it. Or maybe I did, but what's probably so is that I simply had no ability to listen to a jazz vocalist back then. But Madeleine Peyroux , with her wonderful albums, Careless Love , Half The Perfect World and this year's Bare Bones , has become one [...]
