Solar Systems is the perfect combination of London producer Dreamtrak and Laura from indie pop band Internet Forever. Their brand new song “Throw Your Hands Up” is a straight electronic thumper, and will be the catchiest thing you will hear this week, easily. This is just pop perfection, that should please anyone and everyone across all walks of life. Great message here, as well. I mean while everyone is so pessimistic about the oncoming days, why we can’t we just take these guys advice and “throw your hands up toward the future”.
With Internet Forever’s self-titled debut LP out next week, the band's Laura Wolf and their sometimes-producer Dreamtrak have finely multitasked a new track from their growing side project, Solar Systems. With its convincingly retro piano ... read more
Jet setting DiscoPop act AXXE ’s ‘Sweet Stuff’ has been knocking around for a while now, as has some of the reMixes, so On The Fruit Records (in their firsts of two big releases this week) have made the smart decision to package them all up in one place, alongside some corking new versions. Won’t you join me for a peek inside? The original version of the tracks is pure Dance-Pop excellence, with just the right balance between retro sounds and modern dancefloors. Doug’s slick beats and ear for hooks and Stina husky, powerful vocals [...]

We like to reserve the pages of The Recommender for the future of music's Royalty and today's selection fits that bill perfectly. Throughout 2011 we've been watching the Queen Of Hearts slowly begin to position herself as the next Queen Of Pop . Traditional media, such as The Guardian , The Times and Q Magazine, alongside the online coverage by the likes of Pop Justice and The Line Of Best Fit , have all been waving their approval over her as if they were fanning her with palm leaves, so it seems like 2012 could [...]
Here we have a fun slice of late ‘80’s/early ‘90’s inspired ElectroPop in the form of London Bedroom-Pop artist Christianoshi as reMixed by Trademark (including Oil Horton A.K.A. Dreamtrak ). And yes, Trademark is an anagram of Dreamtrak (or the other way round, I believe Trademark came first). Christianoshi has a lot of cool elements to his vocal performance, for example there’s a load of Marc Almond in there, and it all works perfectly with Trademark’s bouncy Pet Shop Boys-esque ElectroPop. ‘Turst’ is a catchy Pop juggernaut with just the right [...]

Rising Pop star, Queen of Hearts , has been busy prepping her upcoming EP, The Arrival , which will feature production from the Sound of Arrows and Dreamtrak. The first single off the EP is her cover of Foals' "Spanish Sahara". Her cover is a much more upbeat version than the original with Dreamtrak's bubbly synths and Queen of Hearts' sultry voice replacing the downbeat instrumental and mellow vocals of Fouls' original. Download: Queen of Hearts - Spanish Sahara (Fouls Cover) (Prod. Dreamtrak) [...]

Queen of Hearts is a woman with a clear vision. Working with the best and most talked about English producers from day dot, she is about to take her throne as one of the most talked about, blogged about and hyped about pop stars of 2011 with the release of her debut EP The Arrival, featuring tracks produced by the likes of Dreamtrak , The Sound of Arrows , Diamond Cut and Monarchy . That may sound impressive, until you hear what else is in store for this superbly talent songstress - An [...]
Massive Disco tunes are all well and good. They’re what gets out blood pumping, they’re what gets our hearts racing, but sooner or later an artist has got to prove there is more to them than dancefloor euphoria. Queen Of Hearts has just done that. Her latest track, ‘Spanish Sahara’, is a Dreamtrak produced classic SynthPop song. Powerful, emotional, haunting and passionate but tempered with that feels like a little of that British dry humour that works so well in SynthPop (a le Pet Shop Boys), ‘Spanish Sahara’ is on repeated listenings in incredibly [...]

Dreamtrak is on a roll, a string on awesome reMixes and production are marking him as a producer to keep an eye on. Contributing a reMix to the next Monarchy single, Dreamtrak get’s to do what he does best. House up some ElectroPop and make it huge. His take on ‘Maybe I’m Crazy’ has all the right elements for epic ElectroPop, big sweeping synths, a euphoric breakdown, driving bass, but then the whole thing is topped with a burbling 303 line and a massive early 90’s House riff that is as brilliant as it is [...]
Dreamtrak ’s reMix of ‘Now that I’m Real (How Does It Feel?)’, the lead track from Chad Valley ’s ‘Equatorial Ultravox’ EP is a piece of pure electronic euphoria. ElectroPop heaven is what’s on offer here, making the Chillwave riffs of the original into 80’s-esque gold. Keeping the space and depth of the original’s vocals but reigning the track to make it more dancefloor friendly Dreamtrak delivers a sunrise tune that will make you love the world. [...]

How's that for a lengthy song title? It's ironic that this song is entitled "Last Day of Summer" because when I listened to it, all I could think about was how happy I was that summer was finally here. I went through a phase where I stopped liking these dancey numbers as much as I used to recently, but it's only just occurred to me that it was only a result of the miserably long and cold winter that we experienced this year. But as I write this, the temperature outside is 92 (feels like 97) and [...]

Apparently this is a year old. Another fine example, at least, of Dreamtrak and also the introduction of Teeth (London). Teeth are a fusion of garage and electronica. Dreamtrak has taken Teeth's more polished track "See Spaces" and given it a club-sized rejuvenation. Those dreamy vocals work so well in the breakdown. Catchy stuff. Old-meets-new school 802s nuwave tech-house flavor coming from this Dreamtrak AKA Dreamtrak Diamond Sound remix. The vocal keeps the tune indie dance, but that beat really pumps along, and the build seems to blind-side you and smack you around the head a bit. I suggest you have a listen to the original - plucky loops and subtle percussion. It's a hypnotic tune, and although I feel that the monotonic vocal undersells the tracks originality, the entire arrangement has quite a bit of substance. It's electronic, but still really raw. I like how it progresses into that [...]
