Helsinki , I imagine that must be a beautiful place. Artist Fotoshop from there contacted us and sent their latest track "Worries" and we are liking what we're hearing. Nice chillwave tune that you can check out below. Press play and let your mind fly away.
Taken from his fantastic album of last year, 'Chains Of Love' is Shelby Grey 's new single, released next Monday (the day for awesome releases !!!) by 'the ever-awesome Holographic People '. 'Chains Of Love' is the amazing Balearic Acid Space Disco musical journey that graced the 'The Music Is On His Side' album and one of the tracks that made that record uncategorizable. This is a track with a Mediterranean beach vibe that works perfectly in synth with Acid burbling. Both relaxing and exciting 'Chains Of Love' is one of those tracks [...]
To say Lazerhawk 's second album, 'Visitors' had been long, and eagerly awaited is a bit of an understatement. For a while now the Austin based SynthWave wizard has been teasing us with EPs and tracks, hinting at what the full thirteen track galactic odyssey would hold. Well, the wait is over. And 'Visitors' was worth the wait, it's a retro synth soundtrack masterpiece, and one of those records that should be taken in as a whole, the overriding thematic structure of this collection of Sci-Fi instrumentals works as a definite narrative. A journey on a cosmic [...]
Final DJs are so kind, they know we're all waiting for their début single, but they don't want to see up kept waiting, bored. So they keep dropping new tunes, and we stay happy. 'NEON' is their latest creation, a tune that drinks deep from the wells of both Italo and Disco. A futuristic, robotic, jam who's machine arpeggios are tempered by soulful solos. It's sweeping filers moving the track to rise and fall. This is night drive music with a difference, unfortunately no-one can yet get the full effect of this track, as the complete 'NEON' [...]

In March, one of out favourite musicians (note, I said musician, not producer!) Keenhouse is back with a new EP, 'Better Days'. The new record is four tracks of Keenhouse's freeform Disco that, once again, perfectly display Ken's exceptional talent both as in instrumentalist and an arranger. The last few years have seen Keenhouse move more and more into an almost Jazz take on Nu-Disco and 'Better Days' is no exception. It's a melting pot of ideas, effortlessly shifting from style to style, from riff to riff, everything held in place with a deep disco groove. [...]
Once more Josh Legg has knocked it out of the park with his latest Goldroom reMix. I would say the constant quality is getting tedious if it wasn't for the fact that his reMixes rock. this time around it's Kitsuné's Citizens! turn for a ride on the Goldroom train as their 'Reptile' gets and almost Italo workout. Check out those bright, shimmering synths, like something straight out of an optimistic '80's Sci-Fi movie, a new feature to Goldroom's arsenal, but one that slips in effortlessly with the laidback funk we've come to love. Mixing [...]

Download link is in the original post Song: Teen Daze - Brooklyn Sunburn [download here ] What's so good? The soothing electronic pulsating of "Brooklyn Sunburn" perfectly captures the sound and feel of Vancouver's Teen Daze, and may even make an appearance on his [...]
Ooooo, an Alpha Boy and Jowie Schulner collaboration! That's the kind of get together worth of an issue of Marvel Team-Up! Two of the most talented players in on the SynthWave scene getting together is like a meeting of retro-minds. You know how in the '70's when two acclaimed Prog Rock guitarists met on the battlefield of the stage, you just know it's going to be a technical solo extravaganza, well that's what this is like, with synths. And it's totally epic, retro synth work with a musicality of the highest order. The solos [...]

Walter Sobcek - Miami (Kido Yoji reMix) 02. 2 Guys In Venice - Cookies 03. Fallulah - I Lay My Head (Shook reMix) 04. Timex Social Club - Rumors 05. Perseus - Running Back [...]
So, what does pumped up SynthWave champion Jordan F do with his downtime form making epic action movie soundtracks? Apparently, he writes the smoothest love jams for those quite moments in his imaginary '80's blockbusters' under the name Countach . This track, 'Love Theme', is (to continue the move theme) visually, blue light, white sheets, venetian blinds and beads of sweat. You get the idea. It's all '80's R&B rimshots and the vibe from LL Cool J's 'I Need Love' creating the mood. and the that sax come in and… Well, that's how we did [...]
So, [adult swim] went after Neon Indian to convince him to let them make a video for him, I don't think he needed much convincing, and the result is this clip for 'Fallout'. Lilfuchs directed this '80's cartoon homage that works so well with Neon Indian's chilled Dreamwave. Although I don't remember so many boobs in M.A.S.K. or Pole Position. 'Fallout' is taken from Neon Indian's sophomore album Era Extraña. Buy Neon Indian's music from: [...]
Mitch Murder is just on a roll, ever since the release of his 'Current Event's album (number two in our best albums of 2011 !) he's been delivering awesome new track after track, and basically taking the whole retro synth scene to school (which, I imagine, would be kinda' like the detention in The Breakfast Club). This week's fresh cut is 'Heading South', which sees old Mitch going right to his outrun core. A SynthWave narrative of a race to the boarder, but Mr. Murder opts for a laid back groove to get him there. The [...]
Casio Social Club - Nu Disco Treats Vol. 1 = Mullet Records head honcho Justin Winks, A.K.A. Lou Teti - Shake (Original Mix) 02. Chordashian - [...]
Hey! What's Starsmith been up to? Probably bust producing someone famous, or holed up with Ellie writing her next album? It's been too long since he treated us to a track though. So it is with great excitement that we hear Fin's reMix of St. Lucia 's 'We Got It Wrong'. Taken from St. Lucia's forthcoming Neon Gold Records EP, released in March with a an album following later in the year, 'We Got It Wrong' is to have a reMix 12" all of it's own in the lead up to the EP's [...]
'Let's Make History' is the new track from Chicago based Funkmeister Sam Padrul . Dropping a smooth slab of Funk with more soul, less robotics than his previous tracks Sam delivers a chilled get down jam. In his own words: " After having been listening to disco and early 802s boogie records for the past several months, I was inspired to make a track that was more organic, downtempo, and groovier than my previous single, "All I Do". In particular, this song was inspired a lot by Bill Withers' "Bout Love" album, whose smooth Wurlitzers and Rhodes [...]
I have no idea who Grouplove are. Apparently they're quite famous in Indie-Rock circles, circles I try to stay away from. They look a bit twee to me and are probably far to quaint for anyone's good, but, sweet Raptor Jesus, has Gigamesh dropped an absolute blinder of a reMix of their track 'Tongue Tied'. Gigamesh just knows exactly what he's doing. This reMix is actually pretty complex, both in programming and arrangement, but in Gigamesh's hands it feels effortless. I gave the original a quick listen and Gigamesh has been pretty respectful of [...]
We love it when a song and video work together perfectly. this is the case with this new video for Walter Sobcek 's 'Miami'. The track is a few months old now, but this new video, directed by Diane Sagnier, perfectly captures the chilled, beach, ElectroPop track's mood featuring model Alice Rausch living it up in the city. It's a beautifully shot, soft focus, dream of the good life. 'Miami' is out now on Schmooze Records. Buy Walter Sobcek's music from: [...]
Jowie Schulner - Boombar Music Club 003 = Jowie Shulner, Boobmar Music's head honcho, drops his latest 'Music Club' mixtape featuring some killer tracks. Kicking of with Michael Cassette's 'Kilimanjaro' you know things are gonna' get good. This mix is all about the deep, funky, bass and soaring synths, with just a hint of Tech House going on. ♫ Jowie Schulner - Boombar Music Club 003 The tracklist: 01. Michael Cassette - Kilimanjaro 02. Envotion - The Last Wave [...]
Lancelot is the latest in an increasing number of artists to be taken under the wing of Binary Records. In the recent expansion beyond the core Binary crew Josh and Kyle have shown some A&R genius in sniffing out interesting and different electronic artists and once again have struck gold with Lancelot. We've heard the odd reMix from Lancelot over the last few months but late February Binary delivers his début EP, 'We Can Dance'. It;s a few weeks away but right now we can have a listen to the lead track 'Spoken Word'. The [...]
