It's already been stated PYYRAMIDS doesn't make "run-of-the-mill"-type music, the duo take apart genres and mesh their favorite parts to create a sonically enriching experience marked by bombastic sounds and nimble songwriting. Their debut full-length album Brightest Darkest Day is a great way to get familiar and it's hands-down one of the most enjoyable listens of 2013. Los Angeles duo Pyyramids will be releasing their debut EP, Human Beings , on October 31st via OK Go's Paracadute label. The latter band's latest record drifted into some psychedelic territory, so it's not too surprising to discover that OK Go's familiar-faced bassist Tim Nordwind is one half of Pyyramids. He's joined by singer Drea Smith (He Say She Say, Lupe Fiasco) for a project steeped in dreamy atmospherics that balances pop sensibility with the mystique of psych.
