With the release of their new sophomore EP Thundercolor, Coyote Kisses have proven to be one of the more creative production duos around. Having won both the Mad Decent remix contest for "Titan" as well as the popular vote in the Beatport remix competition for Seven Lions' " Days to Come, " their appeal is quite evident. The new EP consists of four originals of varying genre and tempo, all pervaded by live instrumentation and a friendly, noninvasive overtone. Rather than try to mold their sound to well-established stereotypes, Coyote Kisses have crafted their own brand of intriguing, instrumental [...]
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I must inform you of the impending demise of Wobble Wednesday . In the midst of a change in the music scene, we have decided that Wobble Wednesday no longer fits the direction we would like to go. That is not to say, however, that the filth and darkness of both American dubstep and UK dubstep will stop. Rather, WW will merge with the Weekly Flavours column for a more genre-focused list each week. For the uninitiated, Weekly Flavours is a post dedicated to a certain [...]
None Like Joshua and Buddygirrl team up and mix Iain Mannix's beautiful vocals into and even more breathtaking progression. Packed with a fuse of trap drums and ongoing trance synth drives, "The Fall" unfolds into one of the most carefully pieced dubstep tracks I've had that chance to hear. I am really beside myself with this [...]

Released last night as a gift from Candyland after hitting 100k plays in seven days on their remix of “One More Time,” they bring you this mesmerizing dubstep collabo with Clark Kent, “On the Shore.” This is one of those tracks that is overwhelmingly good, so good you just wanna play on repeat and just cruise off in to the sunset. Given the gloomy weather and chilling vocals, this tune is exactly what I needed to settle myself down and enjoy the day. And here's a free EDM download of their remix [...]
The Gremlins , hailing mostly out of London are 5 producers Deemed (U.S), Coax, Stanton, K.E.V, and Jacko. All grew up around each other (except for Deemed), and started producing as a group after a radioshow with Coffi , the first track to come out of the collective was a track called Cursed Nurse. Inspired by the likes of Mozart, Coffi , Subfiltronik , and 50 Carrot , this quintet has continued to produce high quality fish wobbles for over a year now. They're currently putting their efforts into an E.P. coming out on [...]
Battling his way through Soundcloud’s highly-annoying infringement notices (which are based on distribution and copyright algorithms), Cori Jo (aka Cori Sound ) strives forward by way of an atmosphere vision into the future – and a short stop off on TRON & Quantum Leap’s hard shoulders.
Whoever said dubstep was dead? The sea of endless flavor-of-the-week producers maybe, but the real talent in the oft-misunderstood genre is still going strong. Enter the dubstep duo Candyland & hip hop producer Clark Kent who enlist Karen Sheridan aka Slow Skies for their latest original "On The Shore." A defiantly bass heavy affair with soaring melodic interludes driven by Sheridan's ethereal top line, the production is an amalgamation of Candyland's dubstep and Kent's hip hop percussion. Even for those who shy away from the dubbier side of dance, "On The Shore" is unbiased in its appeal. Dabbling [...]
This takes the prize as my favourite Candyland remix to date. After the release of Knife Party's new 'Haunted House' EP, remixes have been flowing in. The EP was in my opinion fairly average, but one of my favourite songs was LRAD. However, not only have Candyland taken this song to a new level, they [...]

Usually I listen to Zane Lowe's show on BBC Radio 1 show on and off. But when I heard this song that he played on Monday . I had to play it on Tuesday night since I was guest filling in for Mixtape Sessions on CHUO FM (Click the "On Demand"). When I heard this song by Twigs , I was so mesmerized with it's electronica, trip-hop and somewhat dubstep music with it's haunting vocals. It a cross between James Blake, The xx with the vocals [...]

Just released by Above & Beyond's famous Anjunabeats record label comes the first installment of their Alternative Beats series. The 10-track compilation diversifies their typical releases, crossing several styles of electronic music including dnb, dubstep, progressive house and Beatport's favourite description, 'electronica'. Featuring tracks from the likes of Calyx & TeeBee, Synkro, Seven Lions, Andrew Bayer, Dusky and more, I reckon this is one of the best compilations out so far this year. Listen to it below and cop it on Beatport if you're feeling it. Highly recommended! Beatport Link
When Excision released his 2012 Shambhala mix to the world, he also let everyone in on one of the biggest secrets in bass music. That day we learned of the bass music super group of Excision, Downlink and KJ Sawka known as Destroid. The marketing and promotion for Destroid has been pretty impressive as [...]
Jon Gooch, the man behind Feed Me , is easily one of the most versatile producers in the business. While he's garnered renown under the guise of Feed Me releasing spectacular electro and dubstep, it's easy to forget his previous life as drum 'n' bass producer Spor. Turning back the clock, Feed Me's newest remix of Monsta's "Messiah" is an ode to both the breakbeat revolution of the 902s as well as his success under his former moniker. Emphasizing the original's uplifting vocals while layering complex percussive patterns, Feed Me's remix to "Messiah" is one of his most impressive releases to [...]

In a magnificent attempt to rebrand, think outside the box and try something completely new and different, bass heads and electronic musicians collide to form the greatest thing since perhaps Atoms For Peace. Made up of Canadian legend bass music creators Excision and Downlink and one other, the new group takes the name DESTROID , a fitting name given the genre mash and obliteration of our sound system. However it is the third group member that makes this newly found glory so very special. KJ Swaka of the infamous Pendulum has joined hands with the [...]
Candylanddddd. Wow, these guys are on a serious role at the moment, with incredible productions tumbling out left and right. After their recent remix of Daft Punk received a huge amount of attention (100k plays in just 7 days), Candyland have gone ahead and released this stunning piece of vocal dubstep alongside Clark Kent, with [...]
3 hours ago, one of our favourite duo's, Candyland, released this on soundcloud. After getting over 100k plays in just 7 Days of their OG Trap remix of “One More Time”, Candyland decided to branch out. They contacted Ireland's very own, Slow Skies, and asked if he would like to feature on their next release. [...]
Oh shit, Ninjas! It's time for another Music Ninja party in Denver. This time around we've teamed up with local music video magicians Blurred Pictures to throw a day party. You read that right. It's about time we have a legit day party to kick off summer with. May 19th we're invading Norad Dance Bar for Sunday Therapy . We have a stellar day planned out with music and drink specials. Local pickle purveyors, The Real Dill, are providing a custom bloody mary bar with their Habanero Horseradish dills and their bloody mary mix. [...]
![Kaiju feat. Flowdan – Hunter / Snagglepuss EP [Osiris Musik]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4935556_lg.jpg)
Holy fuck. Out today cheers to the unstoppable Orisis Musik comes Kaiju's newest release, a two-track EP featuring Flowdan on the A side and a dark number on the flip. This marks Kaiju's third 123 release on the Kryptic Minds label and brings some murky grime in Hunter, letting Flowdan unleash his shadowy, rhythmic vocal styles within this epic minimal jam. Side B brings a sound that's becoming more and more common within the dubstep scene. Snagglepuss smashes sounds super dark, entering that dungeon style that's getting fucking big. This release is definitely set to be a must have and is [...]
Winning OWSLA remix contests usually leads to big things, just ask Zedd or Candyland. Au5, one half of the production team that took the top prize for Seven Lions' "Days to Come" contest, is swiftly showing his selection was no fluke. The New Jersey producer has teamed up with his close pal Fractal to deliver an original melodic drumstep leviathan on Monstercat . "Halcyon" is a dynamic production on which its producers' intricate attention to sound design detail has paid dividends. Glitched vocals flit above a deep atmospheric soundscape dotted with mystic [...]
Don Diablo drops his best track yet, titled "Give it All." When featured in a Huffington Post UK article , the Amsterdam native claimed, "If I get hit by a truck tomorrow, I want to be remembered by this song." Diablo brilliantly collaborates with Alex Clare and Kelis, who each provide powerful and soulful vocals to the his track. According to Diablo, the song was his way of expressing his ups and downs int he past year, and how he really believes he is giving it all. "It's me giving it all, it's very personal to me, it's not [...]
