Photo Credit: Andrew St. Clair 21 years after its inception, Lollapalooza is a festival that does most things right. For quite a while, it's been in a very convenient area and has an excellent line-up, even compared with competing fests such as Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Outside Lands. When done right, a great festival includes bands for everyone, and Lollapalooza does this to near perfection. Among the headliners: Jack White and Red Hot Chili Peppers , Justice , Kaskade , Bassnecter and Santigold [...]

Photo By: Jordan DiCecca Osheaga has easily become the largest music festival in Canada. This year's fest on Parc Jean-Drapeau in belle Montreal, hosted a three day music festival to over 120,000 people. That's a huge jump from the 80,000 of 2011. It's a festival I have frequented for the past 4 years, and I prefer to the hot and dry backdrop of say, Bonnaroo or Coachella. So what were the highlights and lowlights of this year's Osheaga? Well, I'll begin by saying, I missed Justice and it's now on a [...]
Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News , Exclusive Theo Wargo, Getty Images The third and final day of Lollapalooza 2012 felt like an adequate summation of the hot, wet and wild atmosphere that served to thrill and test exhausted concertgoers at Chicago's Grant Park all weekend. The now-legendary storm that forced Lolla organizers to make the unprecedented move of evacuating tens of thousands of fans on Saturday had left behind much to squish and [...]

For the eighth time in a row, Lollapalooza returned to Chicago's Grant Park. While the festival has received its share of rain over the years (e.g. Billy Idol's mesmerizing sun shower set in 2005, The Gaslight Anthem's downpour debut in 2009, Best Coast's muddy power hour in 2011, to name a few), the grounds have never had to shut down . Yet with recent catastrophes at festivals worldwide, management took no chances and they made the right choice. Only three hours were ultimately lost and in those three hours something wild happened - there was a sense [...]
Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News Frank Yang Day one of the Osheaga Festival in Montreal kicked off yesterday with two Icelandic highlights, a nostalgic blast from the past and one redheaded festival goddess named Florence Welch . As the sun began to set rapidly at Parc Jean-Drapeau, Icelandic ambient rockers Sigur Ros took the stage armed with a set of hits as cinematic as the darkening sky itself. [...]
The countdown is on! Only two more days until I board a smelly bus at six in the morning in my attempt to get to Jean Drapeau Park in time to see The Walkmen . High hopes this one has. As the excitement for the festival builds, here is a playlist and preview of what thousands upon thousands of happy ears will be feasting upon. This post will be broken up in three, as the festival has now expanded to three days now. If you are reading this and wondering what the hell "Osheaga" is, well here's [...]

Spring has sprung and that could only mean one thing: Crocs season is back y'all! More importantly, the lineup announcement for this year's Osheaga Music Festival. Its 7th edition will be held once again @ Parc Jean-Drapeau and because of last year's success, will continue to be a 3-day affair from August 3rd to the 5th. The headliners [...]
