Over the next few months the developers of the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be releasing videos, & promo materials here and there to get us hyped up enough to make the game purchase inevitable. Here is some gameplay footage from this years E3 conference. It doesn't include any multiplayer footage which usually comes a little later but we're definitely looking forward to see what's new with that.

Microsoft wasted no time today in getting to the good stuff. Many upcoming games were shown but the conference began with new underwater footage from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The video seemed to show many noticeable improvements like new lighting and particle effects while still retaining that Call of Duty look and atmosphere. Next shown was the new Tomb Raider reboot. Microsoft accidentally revealed Halo 4 this morning when they posted a teaser image on the official Microsoft E3 Website. The image shows a picture from the Halo universe along with text confirming the existence of the game. It seems likely that the information was meant to be revealed alongside the Xbox press conference at 9:30 PST in Los Angeles, however someone on the east coast mistakenly posted the information at 9:30 EDT (Eastern time) and it was up for many Website to see for a few minutes before the page was refreshed [...]

Check out this in game play demo by Driver San Francisco's Creative Director Martin Edmonson. The unique 'shift' feature enables hyou to change car in play and the enviroment is massive with a realistic map and over 200 miles of drivable road.

Ubisoft announced that there will be a new Michael Jackson game at this years 2010 E3 press conference. Sounds promising . New Zelda, new Goldeneye (holy shit!), Metroid, NBA Jams, Mario sports game, a look at Epic Mickey, etc. I enjoy the notion that not only is my youth being quasi-raped by Hollywood, but now the video game industry is recycling older games as well. And I have no problem with that. At all.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World game by Ubisoft based on the Scott Pilgrim Comic book series. The series is also being released later this year as a movie starring Michael Cera . The game looks set to be a hit with it's streets Of Rage platform playing style and retro graphics.

Ah E3, the time of wonder and ecstasy in a nerd world. Things were kicked off today with Microsoft's press conference. As expected, Gears of War 3, Halo: Reach, Fable III, Call of Duty:Black Ops, and Project Natal (now confirmed as Kinect for Xbox 360) were the main focus of the show. A three year deal with Activision has given Xbox the rights to all Call of duty DLC first. E3 starts in two days and if you have any interest in gaming at all, you'll probably want to keep one eye on the news/developments coming out of Las Vegas. Bookmark the E3Feed , which is going to aggregate all E3 stories from across the web as they break. Check back often, it's should promise to be the most amount of information with the least amount of effort. Win-win!

THQ CEO Brian Farell stated yesterday (at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference in San Francisco) that their main focus at E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) this year will be to show off a new step in graphics for the current generation consoles, i.e. Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. E3 is open for registration! Yesterday, registration was opened for L.A.'s E3 Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and we at B-Sides (mainly Mook) cannot wait until June 15th. The Main focus of this year's show will obviously be Xbox 360's motion camera, code named "Project Natal", Sony's Motion Controller code named either "The Arc"or "Gem", and hopefully Nintendo will have something cooking up their sleeves as well (I can tell you right now it WON'T be an HD Wii).
