The Wood Brothers are a TWD favorite, however, I'm embarrassed to say I've never had the pleasure of seeing them live in concert. In looking up their newest tour schedule I was thinking about correcting this either in Philadelphia or NYC in the coming weeks. If you and I share this neglectful commonality check out the east coast dates below and take care of correcting this matter for yourself. 2/21 – Fairfield, CT – StageOne 2/22 – Albany, NY – The Egg 2/23 – Syracuse, NY – Westcott Theater [...]

by Fred Pessaro // BBG Pinkish Black @ WIERD, 11/28/2012 Pinkish Black , who have a new record to show off, played the first of two NYC area shows at the WIERD party at Home Sweet Home last night (11/28), part of a stint of dates for the darkwave Texas duo. Bathed in fog, the band seemed perfectly suited for the multi-colored lighting and overall gothic vibe of the [...]

Stylish Mark Eitzel at Knitting Factory, Dec 2011 ( more by Amanda Hatfield ) Move over Alex Trebek, Mark Eitzel wants your job. (With his upbeat demeanor and penchant for suits, this probably seems obvious.) Each Wednesday from now through September 26th, there will be an Eitzel-related [...]

NYC, Hoboken, Philadelphia and more.

by Bill Pearis It's been so long since we'd heard from Lavender Diamond I'd assumed they'd broken up. The L.A. band made a splash in 2007 with their debut album, Imagine Our Love , and anyone who saw them play live around that time remembers it. At least they remember singer Becky Stark, a classically-trained tenor whose voice is mesmerizing. Her stage demeanor is also, let's say, eccentric. But that voice. Well it turns out Lavender Diamond are still together and [...]

Presale starts this Wednesday.

The band schedule dates around their NYC and NJ festival appearances.

Remember DOC HOLLIDAY TAKES THE SHOTGUN ? Remember SWEET TEETH ? They start their East Coast tour this week and we thought we’d let you know where and when you can catch them literally tearing up dancefloors- prying apart floorboards, throwing amps around, the usual thing. They play fast and they take no prisoners. No but really, they’re on tour together and it’s going to go off. Expect some contained (or not so contained) mayhem, sexy guitar riffs and maybe just a little bit of [...]

New tour from Touche Amore.

Philly gets lucky from time to time and this is definitely one of those occasions. Punk icons Bad Brains have announced a short five date tour of the East Coast. They've tapped GZA and hardcore outfit H2O as opening support for different dates. GZA will be at their Philly show, rather than H20. Good news for us since H2O kinda suck. Bad Brains have had their ups and downs throughout their 35 year spanning career. They've made plenty of music that most fans could take or leave, but I'm sure the live show [...]
