A hidden gem lies within Grouplove, the latest LA band worth discovering. Like Black Kids and Local Natives before them, Grouplove emerged as the next big band from Los Angeles. Living in Southern California I'm frequently exposed to numerous new, exciting bands like indie rock band Grouplove. Ever since I first heard their single "Colours" off their self-titled EP Grouplove last year I instantly fell in love with them. Released by Canvasback Music and Atlantic Records last January, I knew it would be a matter of time before they debut their first album. Grouplove stands as my favorite [...]

Maybe it shouldn't be a novelty that Rubblebucket are distinguished by their virtuosity on their instruments – lead singer Kalmia [...]

Ano passado, o Mumford and Sons se juntou às bandas Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros e Old Crow Medicine Show para uma turnê pelos Estados Unidos, a The Railroad Revival Tour . Rolou shows em escolas, mini festivais, e claro, dentro do trem. O resultado de tudo isso [...]

In the next few days, when I gather up too many $100 dollar bills, I will spend them all on a fucking ticket. A ticket, my friends, to a motherfucking festival. Pardon the language but I tell you what, my ass is jazzed. After a 2011 spent purchasing tickets (Cotton Jones, The Sheepdogs, Iron & Wine, and GAYNGS) and then realizing as dates approached that holy shit dude, I'm a single mom with a job, there's NO WAY I'm making that gig, I had to bail. All that money down the drain, all those good times enjoyed by [...]
Those of you reading this, remember the time Blonds only had 77 followers: it will not be long before that number quadruples. These Florida-based lovebirds seem to have surfaced amidst the high volumes of indie dreampop groups and duos one must wade through. It may be because their sound is somewhat amphibious, with each track on their recently released EP Dark Roots sounding distinctly different from the one that precedes it. Or it may be because all of their tracks are likable enough for one to write more than three sentences about them. But it's probably [...]
