Today I've got a track that's got a real unique sound. It's from Canadian based Silver Medallion, we've featured his . He's got a voice that reminds me of an 802s singer, in the best way possible. This electronic powered track starts off pretty chill, then continues to buildup, and finally drop the bass at 1:40. Feature Cuts was recruited for the production of it, and really killed it. It's a groove filled song, with clashing bass giving it some contrast. Turn it up, enjoy! Silver Medallion & Feature Cuts - Drop Gout, Kiss Girls [...]

Grand Duchy - Silver Boys Grand Duchy 's "Silver Boys" toes the line between vapid and pretentious. It's the perfect song for practicing your signature walk on the runway sidewalk*, as it transports you back to a 1960s era devoted to art, glamour, community and, er, drugged-out orgies. You guessed it (or maybe you didn't). The song's about Andy Warhol and The Factory . It took me a while to get into this track, and I'm still not sure whether my love's more guilty [...]
I first stumbled across Ulrik and Ketil, the two creative minds behind Lemâitre, last summer completely by accident. I know what you're thinking (oh cool story, Hansel), but something struck me when I first heard these two from Oslo, Norway months ago. A combination of unique, original vocals with new age synth and creativity. I have [...]

A new genre we've been talking about a lot - and that we expect will (hopefully) soon take over the world - is electro-swing, the combination between electro and 20s-style swing. Here's a playlist of five key sounds to emerge from the electro-swing music genre so far, from its roots with Mr. Scruff and Jurassic 5 to its current stars in Parov Stelar. 1. Original post: Genre Introduction: Electro-Swing 2. Posted in: jazz , Curated Playlists , electro , [...]

You might remember Parisian electropop duo Jupiter from their high-energy singles "Saké" and "Vox Populi" . Over the past couple of years, Amélie and Quarles, Jupiter's creative core, have established a solid reputation as France's best purveyors of dancefloor-friendly electro. Their latest endeavour is a synthalicious remix of "Clash" by Paris-based jazz outfit Caravan Place. With a touch of nu-disco and addictive beats, Jupiter turn the song into a true dancefloor anthem! Word on the street is that A&Q are currently working on [...]

Today I've got some new tracks from a few of my favourite producers; Nicky Romero and Felix Cartal. [...]
Any sort of official announcement about this track has been long coming. EO asked Nicky Romero about his previously dubbed 'Fuck School' collaboration with Avicii , which has now been pretty much 100% IDed as 'Nicktim' by Nicky himself via Twitter . His vague answer suggested that more work needed to going into mastering and finding a label home for the track, but now tastemaker Pete Tong finally announced the world premiere of the song yesterday during his Friday BBC1 radio show. This track has a lot of hype surrounding it and rightfully so. [...]
Aired at 3 AM last night, many fans may have missed Arty's BBC 1 Essential Mix last night. If you're a first time listener of Arty or a close friend of his, you don't want to miss this mix. He's a huge talent coming out of Russia and his music has already gained the support of Armin [...]

"the musical equivalent of putting seven glowsticks in a blender" Nick Thayer is the latest addition to the OWSLA family and rightfully so. His first EP on the label was released a few days ago and it is AMAZING. Nick's productions transcend genre norms by adding a fresh twist on anything from house, and electro to drum and bass, and moombahton. His LIKE BOOM EP is a massive ten tracks with seven originals and three remixes, one of which is mixed by the man himself. With support [...]

Stereotronique is an up and coming duo of Kevin O'Brien and Lane Theriault hailing from Ontario producing electro remixes of brilliant quality that has been getting recognition from music charts and big names like Adrian Lux. Their remix of NERVO 's "We're All No One" is a follow up of their last successful remix of Adrian Lux 's "Teenage Crime" which had reached Hypem's Top 3. Their infusion of electro house synths and creative vocal play makes for an epic remix while [...]
I think it is quite unfortunate not to hear enough material coming from @dylanrhymes because as far as I am concerned, the man is filth. I mean that of course in a pleasant way, Dylan. The tunes that do come out from his Lot49 studios nowadays mainly tend to be electro house rather than breaks , but that isn't a bad thing, and the reason why it is not too bad? Because the man is filth . His latest [...]

After posting a free track to his SoundCloud ("Spoken Word") a couple of weeks ago, Lancelot has just shared a new track taken off his highly awaited debut EP We Can Dance , which drops on February 20th via Binary Label. Once again the Sydney-based artist is giving the song away absolutely for free, so don't be shy, go ahead and download it here . Lancelot - We Can Dance (Frames Remix) The remix comes courtesy of Frames, a young Sydney producer who won the recent Architecture [...]

French electro house artist Kavinsky (also known as Vincent Belorgey) has released his track "Roadgame" from the Drive soundtrack. The track has only available on the DVD/blueray French edition, but we are lucky enough to have it in our hands now. The track is stellar mix of string instruments and electronic undertones. It has a very 80's movie soundtrack feel alongside a vibe similar to one heard in Daft Punk 's music. Sidenote: Kavinsky has toured alongside Daft Punk, The Rapture , Justice , and SebastiAn . The label working with Kavinsky is [...]
