So here's our third and final part of our look back on 2012, in this part we're going to stop looking back and look forward to what we can expect from the year ahead. No we haven't got Mystic Meg looked in the basement and we haven't got a crystal ball, so what follows is just a bunch of guesses and in most cases what we'd love to happen. So maybe you have listened to fourteen remixes of Ellie Goulding 's new single "Anything Could Happen" before this one, but I promise you this one's good and worth a listen (or two, or three...). Blood Diamonds hops on this hit to crank out one dank remix. He works his magic, making this version insanely danceable and also a breath of fresh electronic air. Goulding's timeless voice remains the same, but what stands out is the intense bass and harmonic undertones. Simply said, it stands out and gets us Ninjas even more pumped for [...]

You can now view the gorgeous video for Ellie Goulding ’s new single “Anything Could Happen”. A bunch of incomprehensible stuff going on screen, but like the message of the track, it all makes sense in some way. Malibu has never looked so good. Also, here’s a new hoppy remix of the track done by Blood Diamonds. The pop star’s sophomore title Halcyon will be out October 9th via Cherrytree/Interscope.
Blood Diamonds has remixed "Anything Could Happen" and in the process reminded me that there are few things better than one of your favorite songs getting the remix treatment. Considering my play count for the original is currently hovering under 100, Blood Diamond's remix of "Anything Could Happen" couldn't have come at a better time. His relaxing spin on the track features a tinkling melody, an orchestral background, and of course Goulding's coquettish crooning. He's also giving the track away for free, so there's no reason not to check it out. Free Download [...]

Earlier today I gave you the visuals to Ellie's "Anything Could Happen" and now we have a pretty interesting remix from none other than Blood Diamonds. I...I hate to say it, but I like the remix version better than the original.
Blood Diamonds puts his distinctly tropical and colorful mark on Ellie Goulding 's life-affirming new single, "Anything Could Happen," and it's exponentially better for it. It's also a good thing that Ellie approves in her own weird way; she recently told The Fader that "Blood Diamonds is the most exciting thing I’ve heard in a long time and I want us to live together on Mars one day.” Read more articles like " Blood Diamonds remixes Ellie Goulding "Anything Could Happen" " on [...]
Hey now! The FADER just premiered Blood Diamonds' remix of "Anything Could Happen", the lead single from Ellie Goulding 's forthcoming album, 'Halcyon'. Right off the bat, this track sounds like Goulding gone Grimes which makes perfect sense in light of the fact that Blood Diamonds and the Montreal synth-pop diva are good friends. However, unlike Grimes, Goulding 's vocals are unambiguous and her lyrics more straightforward. Paired with Blood Diamonds' sensationally sweet production, Goulding sounds as stunning as ever. Crisp, clear and cutting-edge; just what a good pop song should be. [...]
Blood Diamonds is a producer out of LA who's been collaborating with Grimes, and found himself on the Full Flex Express tour with Skrillex. From there, the connection was made that he'd work well with Ellie, and her EDM icon/boyfriend linked them up. The result is this uptempo remix to ... Read More

The combination of Blood Diamonds and Ellie Goulding seems like an odd one, but it makes sense. Grimes recently toured Canada with Skrillex . Ellie, for those who don't know, is dating Skrillex (you can tell by their matching haircuts). And Blood Diamonds is best friends forever with Grimes. It's good that these two have a connection because Ellie is a big fan of the producer, as evidenced by her statement to Fader : "Blood Diamonds is the most exciting thing I’ve heard in a long time and I want us to [...]

If anyone was going to successfully remix Ellie Goulding 's latest single, then producer extraordinaire Blood Diamonds was always going to rank quite highly. The original, despite being represented by a relatively dark video, is a fun track, and like it or not, you can't deny that. Mix that level of fun (say around 6.5 fun points out of a possible 10) with Blood Diamonds' stock fun level (10 fun points from 10 possible fun points), and we're presented with a track with way too many fun points than possible. [...]
