Ellie Goulding , favoured singer of William and Kate, has chosen to cover Active Child 's magnificent Hanging On as a way to build the hype around her second album, due in autumn . It's an exceptionally hard song to take on, so high and pure are Pat Grossi's vocals in the haunting original (previously featured on SOIWT here ), and you've consequently got to admire Goulding's courage - most singers would try something far safer.
