Ellie Goulding seems like one of those people who is constantly radiating positive energy. Even in live footage from the new "Explosions" video, she's got a magnetic quality that translates. Ellie Goulding  is currently on tour selling out venues with  St. Lucia, but she still had time to put a video together. Today she releases the official video for her third single "Explosions" off Halcyon . The video is a collective montage of Ellie bearing her soul on stage in stark black and white visuals. The video is simple. It's all about her music and her life. The girl bears her soul well and I love her for it.

I'll be the first person to admit I've never been the biggest Ellie Goulding fan although I did see her years ago at a tiny little Manchester show and she was this shy, timid young girl, hidden behind a large (in comparison to her) acoustic guitar. With her latest tracks though, I have caught myself on numerous occasions singing along in the office. Somewhere in the last year, when we weren't paying attention,  Ellie Goulding   became a proper pop star — and she's rarely looked more confident and self-possessed than she did this morning (January 22) on  Good Morning America . Skrillex is back with a video for "Summit" - his collaboration with former girlfriend Ellie Goulding . With direction from the Pilerats, the video montage begins with various images of the same pretty girl before segueing to footage of Skrillex and his bros' unbridled fun. Unfortuantely, Ellie is nowhere to be found.

Not an official single, (YET) it really should be. Ellie Goulding was the best thing to happen to the Breaking Dawn, Pt. 2 Soundtrack, let's be honest now. OK, well to be fair there are a ton of other good tracks on that soundtrack. That is the ONE good thing the Twilight franchise has delivered consistently, Good Music. I was so excited for the release of her sophomore album, Halcyon , but by the time it actually dropped, I lost a lot of interest. I've only listened through Halcyon once. I liked it, and I was happy that Ellie has taken on a bit more mature of a sound, but I felt like the timing of the album's release didn't fit right with me. [...]

Ellie Goulding   is seeing red in the video for her new Halcyon   single "Figure 8," but in, like, a good way. The clip, released late last night on VEVO, doesn't serve up much in the way of narrative — it's mostly close-up shots of Goulding looking anguished, rendered beautifully in grainy monochromatic footage and occasionally swathed in diaphanous red fabric — but her haircut is still cooler than yours, so it's not like the video  needs  a storyline. If anything, the disjointed style of the visuals work nicely with the song's dubstep-inflected sound, courtesy of [...]
