"Listen, I've been drinking," muttered Dan Bejar as his band Destroyer concluded the evening's performance at the El Rey with the meandering track, "Bay of Pigs." Pulling swigs from a couple of beer bottles and a red solo cup on stage, Bejar had indeed been drinking. But, the drinks were more of a lubricant for a well-oiled machine than a hindrance.
