Awson & Ily provide a fresh take on the anthemic progressive sound with their brand new single "Signs." Late last month , both the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the European Union approved Universal Music Groups acquisition of EMI. Part of the deal requires Universal to unload a third of its newly annexed catalog, including UK label Parlophone, to avoid being a complete monopoly. It's been a long, slow process, but today both the EU and American authorities have sighed and said it'll be fine for the two decaying bodies to merge themselves into a single, leeching exercise . Well folks, it looks like Universal Music Group and EMI have officially merged . The U.S. and European regulatory bodies overseeing the deal approved the $1.9 billion purchase of EMI. But on the European side of the merger, there were some stipulations. Universal Music Group has cleared one of the final hurdles in its way to acquiring EMI after receiving approval on Friday from the European Union.
