Though Joe Satriani has taken a few hits recently, you just can't keep a good artist down. The multi-instrumentalist recorded a live album on May 27, 2008 at The Grand Rex Theater in Paris, France, and now Live in Paris: I Just Wanna Rock! will hit stores on February 2, 2010. I don't think I immediately recognized the name Nneka, but apparently she's got some pretty famous fans (Lauryn Hill, Lenny Kravitz and The Roots). That high-profile fanbase will help you score some pretty sweet things, like a record deal with Yo Mama/Decon/Epic Records. That's who will be releasing Nneka's US debut, Concrete Jungle , on February 2nd, 2010. Judging from the video of the song "Uncomfortable Truth" above, she'd deserve it even without the famous fans.

Proving that learning something from previous mistakes isn't really the way the corporate world works, Sony is hiring British musician Amanda Ghost (not to be confused with her band, Amanda Ghost) to run Epic Records , home of Franz Ferdinand, Modest Mouse, Jennifer Lopez, Sara Bareilles, and the Skunk Anansie catalog.     MUSIC NEWS - Denver rockers , The Fray have announced song details for their much anticipated second release, hitting February 3, 2009 on Epic Records.  The initial single " You Found Me " has already gotten a great response from its digital release.  The song came from problems that singer Isaac Slade's friends and family experienced, caused him to confront the age-old question of why bad things happen to good people.  Another song, " Enough for Now ," deals with the response to his grandfather's death.
