Not all psych-pop is created equal. In a land where the jangle and the glitter reflects so crystal-clear that it shines right back on itself, it can be hard to find the sound that challenges all the others. With this new track from Nova Scotia musicman Sam Hill, under the prescient moniker The Everywheres (meaning soon you will be seeing them everywhere), we've found the psychy, lo-fi, captivating tone we needed—it's not so dredged in overlays and sludge that we lose touch with it,...

This tune is the audio equivalent of a comfy couch (and the artwork follows suit). Not one of those couches that sucks your arse into a vortex of fabric and cushions - I'm talking a well lived-in, this feels familiar kinda couch! I digress... you'll find a free download of 'Someone Disappeared' at Soundcloud . The Everywheres is the work of soloist Samuel Hill of Halifax, Nova Scotia. On June 25 The Everywheres debut self-titled album will be available through Father/Daughter Records - its shaping up to be a psych pop gem! The Everywheres - [...]

If news of the New Guantanamo Coachella party didn't get you fired up, here are a few other unavoidable groaners from the week. You had throne-watcher supreme Jay-Z's "Open Letter" over the contrived Cuba trip-White House kerfuffle hype, then your boy RiFF RAFF is slated to guest on the soap "One Life to Live" as a self-referential art slinger named Jamie Franko as a nod to the Spring Breakers actor Alien (whose character was modeled after RiFF by director Harmony Kor...

Here's a new tune from The Everywheres called "Someone Disappeared" that's perked up my ears today. It's definitely a psych-pop rock tune with it's groovy guitars and reverb laden vocals over everything. Think Black Angels meets Tame Impala if you will. It would certainly fit in nicely with their fore fathers of the 60s. Keep your eyes peeled for the self-titled debut LP hitting stores on June 25th via Father/Daughter Records .

Samuel Hill is a Halifax, Nova Scotia resident, whose debut self-titled album is due for release on Father/Daughter Records (Levek, Pure Bathing Culture) on 25th June. We first crossed paths with Hill's music via. ' Frightened Face ', a strung-out, sedated introduction that might as well have invited us round its house for video games and pizza, it was so laid back. This time round, we've a new track premiering first on DIY. It's also a free download and the first full glimpse of this forthcoming first record. [...]

The cool band Everyone Everywhere are slowly living up to their name. Two of their number have made some tunes with Scotty Leitch ( a.k.a. Pirouette ) under the banner of Gleek. But not this Gleek . Or this one . Surprisingly there are a great number of Gleek named things. Who would have thought. This , however, is the very tasty demo which they've put up on bandcamp. It's a mumbled indie rock four track affair, the highlight of which is So Damn Sick (below). It is a really simple song, but it's [...]

For a Valentine’s Day treat, Brooklyn trio Selebrities have hooked up with Erika Spring and Lissy Trullie for a dreamy cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Everywhere”. Indie girl power is represented well on this.

Brooklyn’s Selebrities just gave us a nice

The Everywheres - Frightened Face Pixies fan? Like carte-blanche-jingle-jangle tones on your guitar? Then why haven’t you listened to this Halifax band yet? The guitar draws you in like a black hole, but w ith a gentle coating of reverb it gives the song a little space; just enough to keep you aware of the power of simplicity. Keep an eye out for a self-released tape to which this addicting track will be on and be on the look out later this year for a wax attack released by Father/Daughter [...]

"Frightened Face" by Halifax band The Everywheres is on the surface a laid-back, sun-drenched cut of amiably wondering coastal psychedelia, but upon closer listen, there's something nefarious lurking just beneath that coat of reverb. The methodically pacing guitar lead appears more nervous, eery, and even claustrophobic with each repeated play. "I think I can see the cold calling," warns the narrator, who later reveals, "every ray of sun still hurts our eyes." Now the track might be about a race of Canadian vampires, but my money says it's on the harsh encroaching cold of a mean Nova Scotia [...]

Southern California's triple aliteration production duo Shoe Scene Symphony have begun to put themselves on the map in a big way over the past few months. Picking choice cuts from some big names in the electronic scene for their remixes, and crushing them all, we're starting to see their name around more and more. And an official remix for Copenhagen's own musical genius PRIVATE sure didn't hurt. Their latest conquest of Avicii's Summerburst ID is nothing short of epic, further cementing in our minds that these guys are going somewhere. Cruise over to their Facebook page [...]

Denmark dream-makers PRIVATE haven't put anything out in quite some time. Since the red hot release of the My Secret Lover LP back in 2007 we haven't heard a whisper from the Copenhagen based dance-pop trio. But the appearance of the new track Everywhere ft. Genasis (of G-Unit Records) marks the glorious and triumphant return in true PRIVATE fashion. This is anything but quiet, absolutely blasting with bliss and showering you in confetti made of happiness. Released Sept. 3rd, it not only features the amazing original but a diverse range of awesome remixes from Aylen, Sun Airway, JFK of MSTRKRFT, [...]

Men-of-the-moment Its Overture , get in on the act that Copenhagen’s PRIVATE has created recently. Using a powerful, ongoing synth line, Macabee & RiVerse “Its Overture” open up and get rid of PRIVATE’s other choice of included vocals and progress onto a wondrous spirit of efficient love and organized beams. Quintessentially watched by the killers-of-the-remix-package, Denmark’s Flemming Dalum & Manchester’s (U.K.) Kid Machine totally lush out another synthesizer mark-up of beautiful tones and typical du-du, du-du-du-du-du 80’s pads like a session of Magnum,P.I. and Miami Vice re-runs. Everyone Everywhere and their current self-titled album have found an impressive way to sound relevant to the indie/DIY/punk sound of recent memory - yet still maintain a certain element that harkens back to the origins of the Punk/Emo years – Sunny Day Real Estate and the lighter moments of ...and you will know us by the trail of dead spring to mind. Emerging from Philadelphia in 2012, Everyone Everywhere have tightened their sound and the album flourishes sonically with brightness and charm; the whole album painting a picture which fits with [...]

Nice remix of an older track. John Dahlback has come a long way since this vocal anthem hit the dance floor. This vigorous young duo has been making waves with their analog tuned bass sound. Grab this and looks for originals. JOHN DAHLBACK_EVERYWERE (KARASHO Remix) by KARASHO
