CFCF is the musical moniker of one Mike Silver, a 24-year-old Montreal producer, dj and instrumentalist. Exercises , his latest digital release (arriving on vinyl August 6), is something of a departure of styles as Silver exits the beat-dominated work of his earlier tracks for a more subtle, ambient tone that lies somewhere between Phillip Glass and Mike Oldfield. We'll admit that much of the appeal of his "Exercise 3 (Buildings)" video comes as much from the striking black and white cinematography and strange tale of pupil and teacher as it does from Silver's drifting soundtrack.
