This track has already been featured here , but a video for it has just been released. This Fuck Buttons cut's funkiness really adds a new element to their music. The track's title is echoed in the subject of the video, a woman dancing in a leotard while wearing hoop earrings against an incredibly red backdrop. Instead of portraying this normally, they slow down her movements, apply different filters, and create mirror effects. This video may sound simple, but is hypnotic and alluring in the same way that Fuck Buttons's music is. Look out for Slow Focus [...]

Remember Dent May? Harlem-based songwriter Jesse Thompson has been regularly rolling with them since 2008, and he has released earlier this year another solo EP as Tommy Toussaint, his oh-so-sentimental vintage-pop moniker. Called "Computer Snacks", this incredibly tight and outrageously ignored opus is a collection of unapologetically romantic songs "heavily informed by an extensive use [...]

Has there ever been a wonder of what a John Talabot song would be like without all of the smoke and mirrors of the many mystical layers he works into his solo material? Well, the remix that he released with Pional for their collaborative track "Destiny" off of 2012's critically acclaimed ƒIN should act as a vibe-filled example. The best way to think of the 'Dubtool Version' of "Destiny" would be a streamlined edit of the experimental and psychedelic original. Where the original glistens with heavy melodic textures, [...]

If you aren't familiar with Submotion Orchestra before reading this post, then I am very upset with you, go and sit on the naughty step. Now come back, because these guys need to become firmly wedged in your cerebral cortex... Hailing from the English city of Leeds, the multi-instrumental collective formed in 2008, unleashing their unique blend of soul, electronica, dubstep and jazz on unsuspecting crowds - since then the seven-strong posse have developed a large and varied fan base - and rightly so. They really know music. The guys (and gal!) in the band [...]

Today, M.I.A. unleashed her banging new single “Bring The Noize”. Check it out below:
M.I.A. returns to the scene the only way she knows how, with a brash, blaring in-your-face new single, "Bring The Noize." Paying tribute to the Public Enemy classic , Maya told Zane Lowe of BBC Radio 1 that the single is "coming out at a time where I think in America it’s kinda cool to hear something like this," likely referencing the recent debacles involving the NSA and Edward Snowden. There's no word on when M.I.A.'s fourth studio album, Matangi , will finally come out, but it's pretty clear that she's getting frustrated with [...]
Before the realms of The Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks and the Bermuda Triangle were contemplating the idea of creating a spawn from the DNA chromosomes of Kardashian and West, that fictional dream was only the thought of unreality and folklore. Now that those idealistic threads have been shattered into the grains of non-fiction, we can only shudder to pre-empt the fallout from what this newly born pressure will add to such an inexpressive, unmarried unity of categoric characterless fibre. Cralias’ rescues Mr West from further tales of self- delusion by incorporating a lengthy time-stretched vocal re-touch and some [...]
