Today felt like a good day to post another Why? track; Fatalist Palmistry is currently my favorite track from the Berkeley, California indie/hip-hop act, though this title seems to change bi-weekly. The song can be found on Why?'s third full-length studio album Alopecia , released in March of 2008. Why - The Hollows.mp3 Why? is an eccentric band from Oakland, California with a sound that has eloquently been described as "jangle-rap, indie pop 'n' roll" ( anticon ) and "psychedelic, guitar-pop, folk-hop" (tomlab). Surprisingly the band carves out this niche genre better than Beatrix Kiddo with a Hattori Hanz?. The lyrics of this album are, in my opinion, superb.
