After an impressive first installment last year, the Body & Soul festival once again sprung up in the grounds of Ballinlough Castle in Westmeath for a two-day feast of great music and good vibes. Lord Echo is the project of New Zealand musician Mike Fabulous, who's best known for his work with the excellent reggae group The Black Seeds. With Lord Echo, Fabulous tackles similar territory, albeit with a touch more funk and disco. Front, back, side to side 2010 has been quite the ride (rhyme). The first year of the new decade wasn't the smoothest, but I think it was great for new beginnings. With music advancing (and sometimes echoing back to the past) at a rapid pace it's good to remind ourselves that even with the abundance of tunes out there always concentrate on the timeless and memorable.
