Album #18: The Whole Love by Wilco There are a lot of people out there (myself included) who really want Wilco to kind of go a little nuts in the studio again to create something along the lines of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot or A Ghost Is Born . We need to let that go. Because while The Whole Love is not a work of complete genius, it is a confident, solid album packed with some pretty great tunes. And you know what? Sometimes that's enough. Having said [...]

I love it when stuff like this comes together. Remember a month or so ago when Mastodon and Feist played Later... with Jools Holland? During that performance apparently Feist and Brent Hinds were exchanging looks in the studio: "Brent [Hinds] and I were nodding at each other, and he's like, 'Nice riff,' and I'm like 'Nice tone.' So backstage I'm thinking about letting these two worlds collide, how they should collide, so I'm like 'How about Metals meeting metal? Brent was like, 'Well, I do like that 'Bad in Each [...]

You're getting the heads up from now that Record Store Day 2012 is going to be awesome. In a recent interview with MTV News Canada , Mastodon frontman Troy Sanders revealed that the band will be releasing a split single with Canadian songstress Leslie Feist and her band for next year's vinyl holiday. Sanders says in the clip down below that "the idea is for Mastodon to cover a Feist song and throw some hair and dirt on it. They're gonna take a Mastodon song and pretty it up a little bit." [...]

The cinematography behind the new video from Feist is utterly gorgeous and appears to be have been shot on location with Peter Jackson for his new movie the "Hobbit." The haunting beats from the new James Blake joint clash with jazzy undertones to create a quiet banger. Look for his "Love What Happened Here" EP next month. (via 130BPM ) Florence + the Machine continues to mesmerize audiences around the globe with her angelic voice as she brought the circus to SNL last night. She performed two tracks in support of her [...]

Well my friends, it's that time of year again! November is a key month in the world of Aaron Loves Meghan... it's the month where we started dating, when we got engaged, and, of course, when we got married. And every year around this time we present our latest Aaron Loves Meghan mixtape! For the newbs, on Nov. 17th, 2007, Megs & I were married and at our wedding (which I iPod DJ'd) we gave everyone there a mixtape called Aaron Loves Meghan and, of course, posted it up on tsururadio. Since then, we've [...]

Click here to view the embedded video. Definitely one of my top albums this year, Feist's Metals is full of great songs that are both catchy, dark and a bit fantastical. Feist just released the first video off the album, for her single How Come You Never Go There and it's most definitely catchy, dark and fantastical. If you haven't already grabbed her album, it's definitely worth the purchase. She's currently on tour, with Mountain Man as her backing band. It's a great show to catch live as [...]

This video for synth-rock band Clock Opera's Lesson 7 is a blunt comment on unemployment, urban restlessness, and the explosive violence an empty, routine life can lead to. Footage from the Tottenham riots can be seen playing on the tv as Guy Connely sings "one rule for the weak and one rule for the strong, but neither has nothing to lose." Directed by Aoife McArdle the video successfully comments on contemporary British society without being heavy handed and to this end the limited scope of the story, focusing solely on the actions of one character, works really well. I [...]
Feist has surfaced the long awaited visuals for the single 'How Come You Never Go There,' from her latest album ' Metals .' An album that continues to grow on us after every listen. Watch and enjoy Leslie in all of her black & white glory above. Lp is available now, we can assure you the hair does not come with the purchase.
I'm super pleased that Feist came out with a video for one of my favourite tracks from her newest album, Metals. The black and white look fits the beautifully simplistic song that is "How Come You Never Go There." She's rocking some really long hair and some wicked arm parties. I dig it.
Video roundup for the week: Florence + The Machine: "No Light, No Light" "No Light, No Light" is easily one of the best tracks on Florence Welch's second album, Ceremonials . Now it has this stunning, epic and haunting video to boot. I get the chills just watching it. Feist: "How Come You Never Go There" Leslie Feist gets hair extensions and [...]
Feist has just launched the official video for her track "How Come You Never Go there" which is the first single from her Metals album that came out back in October. The video is very minimal and just as somber as the song itself. And, this song in particular, really makes Feist sound a lot like early Fiona Apple material which is only a compliment. She's in good company. Enjoy. Click here to view the embedded video.

En los últimos días hemos estado hablando sobre el nuevo disco de The Twilight Sad , No One Can Ever Know . Además de otros detalles sobre el álbum, hemos podido tanto escuchar como disfrutar del videoclip de su single, "Sick". Y precisamente a él recuerda "How Come You Never Go There" , el nuevo video de Feist . No se trata de una semejanza musical porque poco tienen que ver entre sí ambas canciones y tampoco es que solo compartan la imagen en blanco y negro, sino que la escena que representan es [...]

Here's Feist 's new video for her lovable, coffeeshop-appropriate single "How Come You Never Go There," off the recently released album Metals . For this one, she does some slow hippie-dancing in the forest. I'm down. You know how much I love forests and hippie-dancing? A lot. There are also a couple of negatives. First of all, she has disgustingly long hair. Secondly, she seems to have some power over the wind, but she only uses this to blow around her long hair and rattle some ferns. Oh well, every video has pros and Con [...]
