With a new album reportedly the works, Sigur Rós has announced plans for their first live performance in almost four years. According to an issued press release, the acclaimed Icelandic outfit will headline this year's Bestival music festival. Set for September 6-9th in Isle of Wight, UK, Bestival will also feature performances b y The xx, Justice, Hot Chip, Spiritualized, Orbital, Major Lazer, The Horrors, Gary Numan, Azealia Banks, Warpaint, and more. The third annual Hangout Music Festival runs May 18-20th on Alabama's Gulf Shores. Sacasquatch! isn't the only music festival to have scored a performance by Jack White . As a press release now confirms, the former White Stripes frontman will also headline the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama on May 18th. MusicNow is an annual Cincinnati-based music festival created by The National's Bryce Dessner, showcasing "contemporary music and artists that take risks and do not fit neatly into categories." Louisville, Kentucky's Forecastle Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2012, and it's teaming up with one of the city's most celebrated outfits to assist in the festivities. Coachella had no problem selling tickets to its expanded two-weekend format. As the festival's Twitter account reveals, tickets for both weekends are soldout as of 2:57pm ET. They went on sale at 12:00pm ET. While festival promoters have not revealed how many passes were available for purchase, last year's paid attendance was 75,000 per day. As per the above poster, Coachella runs 13-15th and April 20-22nd at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Radiohead, The Black Keys, Dr. Dre, and plenty more are playing.
