The next chapter in the  Insidious story has just been unveiled. James Wan, director of the first  Insidous and creator of the  Saw franchise, is returning to direct the next in the occult horror film,  Insidious Chapter 2 . Film properties aren't like baseball cards or Pokemon, but I guess word didn't get to Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures. Christopher Nolan's upcoming film,  Interstellar  ( which I talked about a bit awhile back ), is set to be a huge blockbusting, money-making machine when it hits theaters in 2014. Back in 2011, there was this lovely little movie being developed called The Hand Job  that was gonna star Aubrey Plaza ( Safety Not Guaranteed ) as an inexperienced high school graduate desperate to have her first sexual experiences to prepare herself for college. After all of the shenanigans that surrounded the director possibilities for the next  James Bond film, from Christopher Nolan being offered to a multitude of interesting choices to Sam Mendes officially returning to the franchise, the stage is setting for 007. Since we ran the Paradise Garage footage yesterday, here's a look at a major reason the club existed in the first place - Mel Cheren, and the legendary West End label he founded prior to opening the legendary King Street dance club in 1976. Includes music and appearances by Danny Krivit, Louie Vega, Nicky Siano, Joey Llanos, Kevin Hedge, Barbara Tucker, Joi Caldwell, Tony Humphries, Johnny Dynell, Louis Benedetti, and, of course, some of the greatest West End Records releases.

This is a true document of a time and place: Two hours of ecstasy on the final two weekends at possibly the last great large underground dance club in New York City, the Paradise Garage.
