Last year I mentioned 'Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone,' a little-seen documentary about the band.

In honor of Black history month Everyday Sunshine:: The Story of Fishbone is out on itunes with the DVD coming on the 21st. The documentary was directed by filmmakers Lev Anderson & Chris Metzler and is narrated by Laurence Fishburne. Unfortunately, with the commercial success of Red Hot Chili Peppers , a far superior ska/metal hybrid band has been in danger of being forgotten. The other night for Minnesota congresswoman (and Tea party supporter) Michele Bachmann they played Fishbone's Lyin' Ass Bitch . As word inevitably spread, Fallon took to twitter to apologize . First Common is a gangster rapper and now The Roots are terrorists . 2011 has been pretty interesting.
