George Lewis Jr.'s brand of 802s pastiche never feels cheap - as if it is relying on the successful sonic tropes of an in vogue hip period of culture - and that's because, for Twin Shadow, the genre is merely a means to an end rather than the end itself. Before the schedules were released I had said that those two bands were really the two that I didn't want to overlap, but unfortunately I had to make a choice. George Lewis Jr, aka Twin Shadow , has gotten himself into a woodsy apocalypse. He's a one man wrecking crew, defender of The Teds, and has 1/2 of a wolf riding shotgun on his motorcycle. Ominous voice over, the catchy hook, the cryptic narrative; it all kinda works. The song comes off of Confess , which comes out next month.

Great song, great video... Like, really fucking great video. I don't think people understand how dope this is... Should have 1 million views by now, but people are too busy watching cover videos of Bustin Jeiber songs (yes I meant to spell it that way). Do yourself a favor and watch this.
