With support from the Red Bull Music Academy and inspiration from Kubrick's  2001: A Space Odyssey , Flying Lotus has created Layer 3, a stunning, avant-garde stage setup. The project derives its name from its tri-layered organization, with a front transparent screen, an intermediate space for FlyLo to perform, and a back transparent screen. Psychedelic and cosmic imagery, or "epiphanies" as FlyLo calls them, pervade the paralleling visualizers. The cumulative experience is quite breathtaking.
