I nearly had a heart attack last night. My heart was beating right out of my chest. The San Francisco defense was relentless, the NY Giants offensive line could not stop the rush. Last night, Saints quarterback Drew Brees broke Dan Marino's 27-year old single-season passing record after capping the game with a 9-yard touchdown pass. Brees ended the game with 5,087 yards on the season and still has one more game to play. Marino finished the 1984 season with 5,084 yards. Anyway, this is as fine a speech as you'll likely hear from a guy who just set an NFL record. What's crazy, is that another quarterback could also pass Marino's record this season.
