I can’t tell everyone how excited I am about purchasing my Bon Iver ticket for the Chicago 12/9 date coming up. This has been a long time coming; I unfortunately missed the New York date this past summer. “Lump Sum” off of For Emma, Forever Ago was the first song I heard by Justin and whatever crew he had assembled at that point. Like most of his tracks did, it broke my heart, but over time has grown to comfort me instead. Happy Throwback Tuesday .

After Justin Vernon had a lot of fun doing his thing with Kanye, he has unveiled the first song off his incredibly anticipated new album, called “Calgary”. Anything that Bon Iver releases now will always have a hard time living it up to the untouchable masterpiece of For Emma, Forever Ago . “Calgary” sees Vernon at a somewhat strange place.
