Smims&Belle is the name of the new DJ side project of Mark Foster and Isom Innis (of Foster the People ). Their first project comes in the form of a Lana Del Rey remix, with the two remixing "Blue Jeans" and enlisting the help of Azealia Banks for a new guest verse. Below, you can listen to the full extended remix. Foster and Innis have also uploaded the "original" version of their remix as well, which you can peep here .

Foster The People's Mark Foster and Isom Innis make up Simms&Belle, the people behind the latest Lana Del Rey remix. They've also drafted in Azealia Banks for a quick verse or two of the ol' hippidy-hop. Like Foster The People's own stuff, this is hardly lo-fi minimalism and pretty much all they've kept from Lizzy Grant's original is her pining chorus. Lana Del Rey recently revealed she was interested in recording a duet with British rapper Professor Green, and will perform Blue Jeans on this weekend's episode of The Voice. Check it [...]

Lana Del Rey 's " Blue Jeans " has quickly become the Traveling Pants of the music world, with other artists frequently trying it on for size in covers and remixes. Its latest iteration, as an unrecognizably acid-washed house track, comes courtesy of Smims& Belle, the DJ alias of Foster The People 's Mark Foster and Isom Innis. Rapper Azealia Banks stops in around the 1:20 mark for a hard new verse about getting paper and chasing rudeboys before the whole thing spins into an EDM fan's [...]
How do you improve Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans"? Mark Foster and Isom Innis from Foster the People, who have formed a DJ duo called Smims&Belle, have an idea: Throw in a throbbing dance beat, edit Del Rey's vocal contributions down to a minimum of sleepy-voice gangsta posturing, and bring on Azealia Banks to add a truly fresh verse. We never thought we'd co-sign anything that involved both Lana Del Rey and Foster the People, but we've got to admit that this is pretty damn catchy. The truth is, we'd have a hard time not loving anything with a contribution [...]

♫ "The Veldt" - Deadmau5 "so in love with the way we are..." ♫ "Silhouettes (Original Vocal Mix)" - Avicii Ft. Salem Al Fakir "we've come a long way..." ♫ "Blue Jeans Ft. Azealia Banks (Smims&Belle Extended Remix)" - Lana Del Rey "you so fresh..." ♫ "Don't Stop (Oliver Remix)" - Foster The People "laughin' about it..." ♫ "Walls Feat. Quilla (Original Mix)" - Sultan, Ned [...]

Smims&Belle is the new DJ project from Mark Foster and Isom Innis, two members of Foster The People. Judging by their first big remix, I'm delighted to note that they sound nothing like Foster The People. However, due warning: They do sound an awful lot like Swedish House Mafia or something. Credit them, however, with keen instincts: They've recruited buzzed-about rapper Azealia Banks to rap over a twerked-up rendition of Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans." It's better than you'd expect, and it also gives off the distinct impression that everyone involved is about to make so much money . [...]
Listen below to Mark Foster and Isom Innis of Foster The People remix Lana Del Rey 's "Blue Jeans" under the moniker Smims & Belle , featuring a verse from Azealia Banks . Lana Del Rey and Azealia Banks are arguably amongst the biggest newcomers in the blogosphere at the moment, and it's about time they collaborate (though they are set to collaborate yet again on Azealia's soon-to-be released debut album, [...]

Mark Foster and Isom Innis of Foster the People have a new side DJ project called Smims&Belle, and the first song up on their list to remix is Lana Del Rey 's "Blue Jeans." On top of injecting some aggressive electronic elements to the romantic original, Azealia Banks also drops a verse into the mix to back LDR's self-proclaimed "gangster Nancy Sinatra" reputation. Check out the remix below. ( Pitchfork )
This is a dream collaboration of sorts, we just wish Smims&Belle (Mark Foster and Isom Innis of Foster The People )'s inelegant, maximalist electronica would lay off a little. Nevertheless, theirs is a rollicking remix that should be perfectly suited for a debauched weekend. Azealia Bank's appearance is short, sweet and noncommittal, while Lana Del Rey's vocals are fittingly reduced to hook status. Buzz alert! Mark Foster and Isom Innis of Foster the People have started a DJ side project Smims&Belle, and their latest victim is Lana Del Rey 's "Blue Jeans". Cranking up the volume on the subtle piece, the duo have also enlisted Azealia Banks for a brand new verse. The final product is something lush, filled with multiple layers of party and fun. Lana Del Rey remixes are in demand right now, and we just don't seem to get sick of it.

For better or for worse, UK-based music magazine NME has rolled out its shortlist of nominees for its 2012 NME Awards. Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Adele each earned noms across the various irreverent categories — some more forgiving than others. ( Born This Way and Under the Mistletoe both came in under Worst Album, oof!) Also scoring nods were newcomers Lana Del Rey and Azealia Banks and awards veterans Coldplay, The Throne and Katy Perry. See the full list of 2012 NME Award nominees below. The winners [...]

Azealia Banks has enlisted Montreal producer Lunice for her latest single, "Runnin". The track was made in the Summer when Banks was up in Montreal writing new material for her project. The track is up for a free download below. Pretty hard not to like anything that Lunice does, that dude is incredibly talented. If [...]
