Ron Flieger helps us kick the weekend off on the right note with his brand new remix of Metric's Stadium Love . Following hugely successful official work for both Ladyhawke and Foster The People, we've come to expect great things from the German producer, and that's exactly what we get here. He's done a killer mix on the original, keeping Emily Haines vocals at the forefront while adding in a crisp electro beat to back them up. Make sure you add this one to those weekend playlists. Happy Friday everybody! DOWNLOAD [...]

What makes Foster The People such a solid band is their unabashed approach to pop-rock. If they want to use a piano, they use a damn piano and slam out the chords. If they want to bring in a horn section and have them blare out notes over synths and their infectious falsettos, they do and it works. In everything you do, confidence is key (so cliche, but ride it out with me). Foster The People's confidence in their sound is what makes their sound believable. They make it #werk. On top of that, they're brilliant [...]

Now this is a trio I was not expecting. New Zealand darling, Kimbra with Canadian wunderkind, A-Trak , and Foster The People's Mike Foster on one track? Add a whole other level of hype with the duo behind What So Not and we have on our hands a solid track to turn the lights off, turn up the volume, and get down. Trust me here, this track deserves your speaker's full attention. Kimbra has never sounded sexier than she does here on this track. Her vocals in the chorus, deep in [...]

Last year we picked a theme for our Best Mashups of 2011 , which we called "Mashups Not Inspired by Glee," but this year we decided to go with a more positive approach. For 2012, our tribute goes out to Ms. Anna Kendrick. She first caught our eye in Rocket Science and now most recently in Pitch Perfect . And although Pitch Perfect wasn't really our kinda film, Anna playing an aspiring DJ & mashup artist was probably the hottest thing, and DJ, of 2012. Another change to this year's [...]

The first time I heard Kendrick Lamar was in that flurry of remixes of Foster the People's Pumped Up Kicks . Yeah, remember that song? Yeah, if you can stretch your mind all the way back to 2011, you'll remember that familiar indie pop excitement of that song about a modern-day shootout. DJ Reflex remixed the famously fun track and featured a budding young Lamar . I fell in love with his curious intonations and nearly tongue-tying lyrical waves. In October 2012, Lamar released his second studio album good [...]

I'm extremely happy to see that Lonczinski tackled a song from Foster The People, because I absolutely love them. He added some nice flowing synths that give the song a much more progressive feel. Fantastic remix. Enjoy. Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks (Lonczinski Remix) Play Download
Sports Here’s a conversation that has never occurred in any high school sports contest ever. Hopefully things hold some level of sportsmanship during your Thanksgiving holidays. Lord knows what will happen at this weeks Duncan affair. I’ll be in 5 states in as many days so here’s to the admiral club. Rihanna feat. Kanye West - Diamonds (Remix) Cris Cab - Pumped Up Kicks (Foster the People Cover)

More body-jerking steez from What So Not. Their unreleased remix of "Warrior" upped for free download was a nice surprise in the feed today. That kick-snare combo, and the industrial chimes are so deliciously dank. • WHAT SO NOT [FB] • DOWNLOAD | A-Trak, Kimbra, Mark Foster - Warrior (What So Not Remix) Posted by Duncan Jake.

Here at MUF, our affinity for remixes will never be lost, especially as long as Gigamesh keeps doing what he's doing. The Minneapolis multi-platinum producer's new remix of Moullinex's "Take My Pain Away" brings a beat like that of an 80s montage. Call in the A-Team, this track is full of classic synth melodies and elements. Gigamesh may as well be changing the remix as we know it bringing back the old style of what we loved so much in the past. The breakdown around 3:15 is fantastic.
Minimix (Annie Mac Radio 1) - Madeon - Click to download I’ll leave it to prolific producer/mash artist, Madeon, to describe this ridiculous 5 minute blend of a jillion songs : Here is my 5 minutes minimix for Annie Mac’s show on Radio 1, enjoy ! Tracklist : Most of these tracks are sampled in really small ways, sometime under a second. The purpose wasn’t to reference all these songs clearly but to use samples as an instrument. Tracks are listed chronologically, but elements that are [...]

Foster The People - Call It What You Want ( Ron Flieger Remix) [ mp3 SoundCloud] ahh that twisty bassline

Half of the NBA finals is etched in stone. The Spurs suffered a monumental collapse or were the Thunder THAT good? The mighty three have to get their game figured out this weekend. It would be poetic justice to have them fail after all the broken promises of having more than one championship delivered to Miami. My attention will be focused to game seven and the boxing match of Manny Pacquiáo vs Timothy Bradley. It might be a crapshoot, but I don't think the judges will let Manny lose if it goes the full ten rounds. The [...]
Stream: Foster The People - “Call It What You Want (Ron Fleiger remix)” Seriously though, why is that every single Foster The People track sounds way better with a different edit than the original? Remix the world.

Finally!! A Foster The People remix!! We have been waiting soooo incredibly long for one of these to come along , haven't you? Feel free to call this what you want, but it's obviously a remix of a Foster The People song. The duties were performed by Ron Flieger who appears in that extraordinarily stupidly large photograph above these drawn out phrases and descriptors that validate the purpose of the process. Uh, well, actually, it's the same size as all our pictures are, but I'm not sure [...]
Foster The People? Weren't they popular like, last year? By now, your parents probably like the Los Angeles trio as much as you ever did, and their glimmer might have been a little forgotten. But with your indulgence, I'd like to revisit the band just long enough to show off the new video for the [...]
