Basically they took an already great song and just put some more meat on its bones, so to speak. Here's production duo The Knocks ' take on Foster The People 's " Pumped Up Kicks ". Around this time last year, this track was the jam, and I'm happy to resurrect the sunny anthem for Summer 2011. The Knocks don't shake things up too much, but they do add some heavier synths and more danceable drums, possibly alluding to the fact that Summer 2011 will be more rowdy and less laid back than Summer 2010. The Knocks just love staying busy. In the midst of their current tour with Ellie Goulding, they have dropped a new remix of indie anthem “Pumped Up Kicks”. They strip down all of the laid back coolness of the track, and make it into a club ready hit.
While on tour with Ellie Goulding, The Knocks are apparently still finding time to put together some remixes.
