Foster The People's Mark Foster and Isom Innis make up Simms&Belle, the people behind the latest Lana Del Rey remix. They've also drafted in Azealia Banks for a quick verse or two of the ol' hippidy-hop. Like Foster The People's own stuff, this is hardly lo-fi minimalism and pretty much all they've kept from Lizzy Grant's original is her pining chorus. Lana Del Rey recently revealed she was interested in recording a duet with British rapper Professor Green, and will perform Blue Jeans on this weekend's episode of The Voice. Check it [...]

Listen below to Mark Foster and Isom Innis of Foster The People remix Lana Del Rey 's "Blue Jeans" under the moniker Smims & Belle , featuring a verse from Azealia Banks . Lana Del Rey and Azealia Banks are arguably amongst the biggest newcomers in the blogosphere at the moment, and it's about time they collaborate (though they are set to collaborate yet again on Azealia's soon-to-be released debut album, [...]
This is a dream collaboration of sorts, we just wish Smims&Belle (Mark Foster and Isom Innis of Foster The People )'s inelegant, maximalist electronica would lay off a little. Nevertheless, theirs is a rollicking remix that should be perfectly suited for a debauched weekend. Azealia Bank's appearance is short, sweet and noncommittal, while Lana Del Rey's vocals are fittingly reduced to hook status. Got a nifty little remix here courtesy of Oliver. I don't have much info on Oliver. I know they're a duo out of LA. I know their names are Vaughn Oliver and Oliver Goldstein. I know I want to party with them. That's about it. So enjoy their remix of "Don't Stop" and definitely keep your eyes out for more. Tweet

Brand new material from one of today's leading EDM producers, Oliver . The LA based duo's rendition of Foster the People 's "Don't Stop" is their second release this week. Oliver continues to impress the masses with their ultra funky head bumping top shelf remixes and original material. Here's the other release from earlier this week - It's a remix of Punks Jump Up 's "Mr. Overtime" *Stream the instrumental of the "Mr. Overtime" remix HERE

Ben Hazlegrove, Ted Wendler, and Lane Shaw make up densely layered electro-pop as Mansions On The Moon, a Los Angeles band that has gained a fair amount of steam with their EP Lightyears, which was produced by none other than Pharrell Williams. They are said to be working on a full-length album to be released [...]

A reader of ours suggested we listen to Rizzle Kicks and we haven't looked back since. How has England kept this gem hidden away from the American public? Maybe they haven't and I'm just oblivious. Either way, these talented young men released their debut album, Stereo Typical, just last year and have already played at the O2 Arena. Granted they weren't headlining, but still! There are only a handful of British rappers I like, The Streets , Dizzee Rascal , and... that's pretty much it. These guys... well, I already love them. Hopefully, you will too. [...]

Its Friday and this is how we do it. Don't know about you, but I just got my coffee game on and Im feeling that caffeine high right about now. Powered right through that 2:30 wall like it was blue cotton-candy. And I love that shite. Just marf'n on it. Anyway, enough of this noise. Lets be honest, you're here for the chuneage. A partir do volume [...]

We've been waiting for ages for this remix to come out. Finally, NYC duo Whatever/Whatever's , aka Justin Strauss and Bryan Mette, sublime rework of Foster The People's "Call It What You Want" is here. And it's free download! Call it love. Download here
The New York DJ crafts a killer mash-up.
Check out this as yet unreleased remix of Foster The People's 'Don't Stop' by the on-form disco duo Oliver - there's no word if it will ever see a release, but let's hope it does as it is a great piece of big-room disco electro.

Toronto based Indie-Dance duo The Wheel Wells are a weekly staple at Queen Street watering hole Czehoski , for their weekly dance parties and monthly Family Fridays events, which bring local talent to the stage of Toronto's next hidden gem. Through the success of their events, the pair just handed over a $1000 cheque to MusiCounts this week from proceeds raised at Czehoski. Don't think they are confined to the home base venue. You will soon be able to catch The Wheel Wells at Wrongbar every month, starting this spring, for [...]
