I try and refrain from using the term "Must Hear" to tracks like this. And you're probably questioning how you could possibly have to hear another version of "Pumped Up Kicks". It's hard for me to listen to this track and not have a huge smile on my face. Foster the People 's sugary yet fist-pumping electro-pop has brought a different sound to the mainstream world of dance music, and they just keep churning out the singles and accompanying quirky videos from their album "Torches." The music video for "Houdini," one of the tracks off that 3-song self-titled EP which landed them a late slot at Coachella 2011, might explain their quick momentum. Director Daniels shocks viewers right away with a what seems be to a tragedy, but we soon discover the crew is more concerned about a good show rather than the well-beings of the band [...]

At last night's show at the O2 Brixton Academy, Foster the People and The Kooks'  Luke Pritchard marked the end of their UK tour with a cover of the Alabama Shakes' "Hold On" . The ensemble did their best to recreate the original's dark, lonesome blues vibe, although Pritchard's voice doesn't have quite the soul-shaking depth as Brittany Howard does. Even still, it was a substantial enough moment to turn the venue into a giant choral sing-along if only for a few minutes. Watch the video below.

Foster The People logró llegar a la cima en muy poco tiempo. La banda californiana, qué nos visitó el mes pasado, estrenó el videoclip de  Houdini , tema perteneciente a Torches , su último disco. Miralo en esta nota. En el clip, Mark Foster , Mark Pontius y Cubbie Fink  mueren durante una filmación, pero sus productores sacan provecho para que estos tres muchachos sigan facturando y hacen robots de sus cuerpos ¿Una simple e inocente sátira del universo pop?
