We're not quite sure what to call the video for "Call It What You Want", the third single off People's Choice Awards nominees Foster The People's hit album Torches . On one hand, the clip, with its nondescript gaggle of female fans and Hollywood mansion setting, seems to be making a statement about the band's new-found fame following the surprise success of their Top 10 summer smash "Pumped Up Kicks" . While on the other, there's just a whole lot of creepiness, with no rhyme or reason, going down. [...]
Billboard : Foster the People's new video for "Call It What You Want" is a head trip. SXSW : First round of artists for SXSW 2012 are announced. Bands include Class Actress, ANR, Niki & The Dove, Yuksek and more. It's never too early, right? Rolling Stone : Odd Future denies that their own Left Brain assaulted a female photographer at the Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans. Spin : Dating website says Nickelback is "sex repellent." LA band Foster The People premiered the music video for their new single, "Call It What You Want", featured on debut album "Torches".
Hipster is as Hipster does aka Foster The People and their new video, "Call It What You Want." This band has made a name for themselves and I can't hate. I really can't!
Um, so I'm not real sure how to describe Foster The People's new video for "Call It What You Want". It features a lot of interesting shots of the band in various situations and has a ton of quick cuts of scenes that go together like chalk and cheese. The video has everything you could ever want, if you were a crazy person from flaming megaphones, to flopping goldfish and tons of giant gold Hulk hands. So yeah, check it out... Call It [...]

From obscurity to not being able to go anywhere without hearing their music, Foster the People has been on fire this past year. I mean, they got Kenny G on stage with them when they performed on Saturday Night Live. Kenny G! The legend! Before you question my enthusiasm for Kenny G, ask yourself whether or not you can play the sax like him (you can't), because maybe then you can understand why Foster the People being on stage with Kenny G is such a big deal. But I digress. Foster the People recently released a [...]
[ Flash 10 is required to watch video] The past year has been nothing but good to LA indie rockers Foster the People , and you can't deny that their rapid rise to stardom is highly impressive. Whether or not you like what the band has to offer, they're continuing to ride the success of their debut albums Torches , and today, the band released the video for the track "Call It What You Want." The visual offering is pretty, well, confusing, with everything from drummers in bathtubs to golden megaphones to swooning [...]

Following a visit to Saturday Night Live and a double-ended appearance on Letterman , LA indie poppers Foster the People have revealed the music video for "Call It What You Want". To adequately interpret this clip, one would need an advanced degree in psychoanalysis. However, a few highlights include lamp people, band members bathing in a tub of blood, paint-filled fans that explode in delight, and lots of bubble wrap being popped (probably cause of daddy issues or something). Watch it at the Foster the People GIFS Tumblr . The band's debut album, [...]

Last night, bewilderingly popular L.A. synthpoppers Foster The People turned up on the Late Show With David Letterman . As it turns out, they have songs other than "Pumped Up Kicks." One of them is called "Helena Beat," and that's the one they played. Watch it below. Read More...
After performing a full webcast on Wednesday evening for David Leterman's show, the LA boys Foster the People hung around and performed another track for last nights broadcast. They didn't play "Pumped Up Kicks" either! This is good. They performed album track "Helena Beat" for the audience and what a good performance it was. Check it out at the top via our good friend The Audio Perv .

Photo by Brad Bretz As an encore to Wednesday night's Live on Letterman webcast , Foster the People served as the musical guest for Thursday night's Late Show with David Letterman television broadcast. Doling out the lesser known "Helena Beat", the pop outfit tore through a performance that showcased their darker dancer urges (and love of strobe lights) and reminded folks why they've been everywhere all year. Check it out below. Thanks to The Audio Perv for video support. Foster the People’s latest [...]
Let's go back in time: Lykke Li: "I Follow Rivers" Is it love, lust or infatuation? Lykke Li goes on a relentless pursuit of a man in this video, running in her bare feet through the snow while the dark tune looms in the background. Amazing song, kick-ass video. I love the part where she shoots an icy, cold glare at the viewer. Feist: "1234" [...]

Its always a special occasion when we drop a sick-nasty-wobbly-wobblefest on our TBE peeps. Super-obvi today will be no exception. Rest assured, your worldwide dub dealer has got your fix... So, get that change of cloths and that extra pair of undies ready. The BASS is back. I figured the picture fit in nicely with Halloween steadily approaching. Just don't stare too long. Side note: I like my bass swollen, not my women. For more jams or by any of these artists use the ‘tags’ links at the bottom of the post! Follow [...]

Here is Foster the People live on Saturday Night Live over the weekend performing "Pumped Up Kicks" (above) and "Houdini" (below). "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People "Houdini" by Foster the People

No doubt about it, Foster The People blew up. It wasn't an overnight thing, though. "Pumped Up Kicks" lingered in the air for well over a year before everyone caught a whiff. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if we were still all listening to it next summer. I'd be okay with that. It's just that kind of song-the kind that is incredibly catchy without getting annoying or too pushy. As a confirmation of success, FTP hit up SNL to perform and pulled an epic guest feature with motherfucking Kenny G. #PowerMove. Yup, you made [...]

C=T had a chance to catch Foster the People at the small Bluebird Theater last June with the Chain Gang of 1974 and Gardens and Villa which turned out to be one of my favorite shows from this past year. SoCal's hottest item played "Pumped Up Kicks" and Mr. Kenny G sat in on "Houdini" to lend his musical expertise. Foster The People-Houdini (RAC Remix)
