No doubt about it, Foster The People blew up. It wasn't an overnight thing, though. "Pumped Up Kicks" lingered in the air for well over a year before everyone caught a whiff. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if we were still all listening to it next summer. I'd be okay with that. It's just that kind of song-the kind that is incredibly catchy without getting annoying or too pushy. C=T had a chance to catch Foster the People at the small Bluebird Theater last June with the Chain Gang of 1974 and Gardens and Villa which turned out to be one of my favorite shows from this past year.
