This Saturday we’re off to Victoria Park to get our groove on at Field Day London . The one day festival is playing host to a great mix of bands, producers and DJs – it’s the varied music genres and cutting edge acts signed up that really sets this festival apart and has got us super excited. On our hit list of acts we’re dying to see is the brilliant Four Tet , future garage pioneer Koreless , Daniel Avery for some acid house, Jacques Green [...]
Worlds collide as Kieran Hebden, better known as Four Tet , is slated to release an official remix of Justin Timberlake's Suit & Tie . The remix was leaked last week with degraded audio but was re-released on Hebden's Soundcloud today. The producer was quoted by SPIN.com saying, "Yeah, it's an official remix commissioned by the label and it just got approved, so I think it will be getting a proper release. It got leaked yesterday, which is how people suddenly know about it. The sound on the leak is distorted, too, which is [...]
Four Tet - For These Times “Four Tet has dropped a sneaky stream of ‘For These Times’, his offering to the Non Plus compilation Think and Change . Typically dusty, the brand new track follows on from Kieran Hebden’s recent flirtations with house music, blending a stripped-down Chicago-esque rhythm with jazzy electric piano and a soulful vocal. It’s clear from the outset that Hebden’s on a Theo Parrish tip with this one, but as usual he manages to add his own spin with hyperactive snare rolls and that lilting melancholy he finds it hard to [...]

Uploaded just a matter of hours ago and already showing nearly 15,000 listens is Four Tet and RocketNumberNine ’s ‘Roseland’ . It has that unmistakeable Four Tet sound, with subtle progression, twinkling noises and gentle background chords. It’s exactly what we needed to lift and carry us through Monday. Hope it helps you too.

Female vocalist Grimes is the latest to have the pleasure of being remixed by the wonderfully talented Four Tet...'Skin' isn't an official release from what we can tell and was recently heard in Four Tet's Rinse FM podcast . It's a beautiful- full of soft pianos, dreamy vocals and electronic melodies. Stream below.
Well, today kicked off wonderfully. I usually head into work early but was held up by a lovely surprise from Mr Kieren Hebden, aka Four Tet , who had tweeted that a he would be releasing a new album today. The kicker: the album is comprised of all unreleased material from 1997-2001 and is available to stream for free (listen below)-a totally awesome 38:00 minutes that led to a late, but totally-worth-it start to my day. The record is jazzy, breakbeat-y and every bit as lovely as you would expect a Four Tet record to be. As [...]
Shock and awe filled already-blown minds of the fans following the legendary producer, Kieran Hebden (Four Tet). Uploaded as a surprise this morning, Kieran unveiled unreleased works of his dating back to 1997, composed them together in a 40-min mix and sent it out to his following to download, share, and listen freely as they [...]

The legendary UK producer Kieran Hebden, a.k.a. Four Tet , surprisingly/finally dropped his new "01813 LP. We already knew that this was going to happen last night when he shared an update referring about this new work on Twitter. Actually, this is more like a compilation of unreleased material between 1997 and 2001. There's a lot of conclusions that we can make about this piece. First of all, this guy is clearly a genius, but we all knew about that already. If you have been following Four Tet forever, you already know that he's constantly dropping new material. How [...]

This Friday’s set selector is a special promo mix from the man behind legendary techno label Desolat - Martin Buttrich . It’s a mix he’s whisked together ahead of his live show at our fave club Fabric this New Years Eve. He’s included some reworks of his own cuts which who knows, he might play live on NYE. 50 minutes of some amazing minimal techno… as he explains: "It’s a little mix with eight tracks – some remixes and own productions. I’ve made a few dub mixes of songs that do [...]

Four Tet ’s brand new smasher. “Jupiters”, takes a second for all the enjoyment to come. I was kinda not feeling the drowning synths, but when the ridiculous bass drops, along with this sort of bubbling back and forth sound, everything is right in the universe. Again, I’ll remind you, at over 5 minutes have patience with this one! Track will be out later in 2012 on his label, Text .

Live: Four Tet FabricLive 59 Launch @ Fabric, London 23/9/2011 Accompanied for the iconic London club-night by three Fabric -size rooms worth of highly innovative forces in contemporary dance music, Kieran Hebden, in launching his FabricLive 59 Mix , distinguished himself further as a leader in the field he arguably played a leading role in creating. Supposedly his latest mix 12” is not simply a collection of notable tracks, but a study in the culture surrounding dance music, centring on forgotten early 90s productions and abstract experimental electronics which otherwise might have been passed by. [...]

In a world where Soundcloud, Mixcloud, fifty million podcasts and one hundred million amateur DJs are all clamouring to bring you mixes of everything from deep techno to alien pukestep via only songs with the word squirrel in the title (or something) for free, has the humble mix CD had its day? Surely even the illustrious FabricLive series, which in the past has featured some of the biggest, most eclectic names in dance music, including the late John Peel, New York turntablist DJ Spinbad and Dutch filth merchants Noisia, is running out of ideas? On the strength of number 59, [...]

In a far off place, a long time ago, dubstep used to be more than mindless wobble. But then, dubstep became Skream's Frankenstein, and the monster he had created consumed him - that is the story of Frankenstein, right? [...]
The previous collaboration between Burial & Four Tet sufficiently whetted our appetite to ensure that any future material from the duo was sure to be something very special. Two new tracks surfaced last week in the shape or "Ego" and "Mirror" with the latter being our pick of the two. Evading any easy pigeonholing, the tracks combine elements of dubstep and garage with eerie electronica working it's way into the mix alongside Yorke's haunting vocal. The single was released on limited 123 and was available at [...]
Ok. Let's talk mixes. What we have here are a series of our absolute favorites for the year. Choices we made are based on what we enjoyed listening to. So they not only capture the spirit of tunes for the year, but they are also worn and loved, like an old blanket (too sensitive sounding?). ... Read more
