Today marks the release of Four Tet 's Rounds reissue. To celebrate, Kieran Hebden has unveiled a promotional version of "Unspoken". Do you notice a difference between the album version? Well, if you did, you are right. Because this version contains a sample that Four Tet couldn't clear before the release of the album. Ten years later, though, and we are blessed with audio that never made the full-length. In fact, Kieran notes that they couldn't even clear it for the reissue. Go figure.

As part of the Red Bull Music Academy takeover of New York City, Four Tet played a show last night at Webster Hall. While I am kicking myself for missing the show, we are now blessed with a lovely hour of audio from Kieran's stop at WNYU's Beats In Space. The show sports a lovely mix of tunes from the likes of DJ Spider, Jai Paul, Prince, Joy Orbison, and even a few cuts from Four Tet himself. Not to mention an interview with show host Tim Sweeney. Check it out below. [...]

North Londoner X¥Z recently dropped his Solace EP, 20 minutes of atmospheric, blissed out electronic music inspired by the likes of J Dilla & Four Tet which is consistently good from start to finish. I think this is the first time in a long time where I've struggled picking my favourite cuts to feature, so I thouroughly recommend heading over to Bandcamp and stream this thing from back to front. Don't Say No. by X¥Z [...]
Don't call them a supergroup. If there's one thing Thom Yorke has clarified in his interviews about the Atoms for Peace project, it's that they do not see themselves that way. But let's be real here, if there's one group out there at the moment worthy of the name, the whole much more than just the sum of the parts... you catch my drift. Anyway, here they take control of Four Tet 's seminal Pyramid, tripping it out and showcasing the mastery over an enormous spectrum of sounds that each member has gained through their other projects. [...]

This afternoon PIMB favorite Four Tet hopped on his Twitter to reveal that Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich (aka the main guys behind Atoms For Peace ) had remixed one of his songs, "Pyramid". The thing is, he was pretty cryptic about when we would hear it. He did, however, reveal that "it's so fucking good." Well, now that Four Tet couldn't apparently keep it a secret any longer, we can indeed concur that this remix is "so fucking good." It's got some gnarly vocal samples, crazy looping drums, and, well, I won't spoil it for you. [...]
Neneh Cherry + Afrika Baby Bam: Nina (Produced by Four Tet ) - Stream

As we've continued to hear Four Tet experiment with sounds of Africa, the UK producer takes his production power to Swedish singer Neneh Cherry and Afrika Baby Bam of the Jungle Brothers to create a rhythmic piece rooted in the age-old ring shout. But don't expect to hear anything traditional here, as these artists work wonders in cooking up something that pays tribute to the past, present and future. Apparently this is just the beginning of Cherry and Afrika Baby Bam's work together, as we are teased with what looks like some forthcoming material. Stream "Nina" [...]
![[Listen] Four Tet Streams New Track, Remixes Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie"](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4827009_lg.jpg)
Four Tet made damn good use of this day, waking everyone up from their case o' the Mondays with a bangin' new track titled "For These Times" and a slick twitchy remix of Justin Timberlake 's " Suit & Tie ". First up, "For These Times" was recorded for Nonplus' Think And Change compilation , and it's incredibly good. From start to finish, this five-minute cut vibrates with jazzy undertones and rattling snares, grabbing you by the collar and never loosening its grip. Tet's remix of JT's slick single is equally as [...]
Four Tet, Non Plus etiketiyle bugün piyasaya çıkan Think and Change toplama albümünde yer alan yeni parçasını tanıttı. For These Times adlı beş dakikalık baştan sona yüksek tempolu tech-house parçada caz lezzeti de sunan DJ/prodüktör, tekdüze gibi görünen ancak dikkatinizi bir an bile kaybetmek istemediğiniz bir çalışma ortaya koymuş. Here's the second piece of new music we've heard from Four Tet today – the first being his excellent remix of Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie." According to Four Tet's soundcloud page, "For These Times" is off Nonplus+'s "cognitive dancefloor therapy session, Think And Change ." The progressive dance music compilation also features a new jam from Joy Orbison . Check it out at Boomkat . Read more articles like " New: Four Tet - "For These Times" [...]

More new Four Tet ? We are all over this. Thanks to a forthcoming compilation from Nonplus, the label will put together a list of exclusives from former and current label acts. Four Tet is one of those acts, which is where the vocal sample-driven "For These Times" will land. The compilation will also feature names like Joy Orbison , Martyn and much more. The compilation is part of a 5xvinyl box set, limited to just 1000 copies. I believe it dropped back at the end of February . Stream "For These Times" below. [...]
Justin Timberlake'in yakında çıkacak The 20/20 Experience adlı geri dönüş albümünden çıkardığı ilk single olan Suit & Tie'a bu sefer iki önemli isimden remiks geldi. Four Tet ve Aeroplane'den gelen bu remiksler JT'nin albümüne olan ilgiyi de doğal olarak artırmaya yardımcı oluyor. Görünen o ki, Aeroplane'in pop düzenlemesi ve Four Tet'in baskın beat'lerle bezediği dans ... Continue reading

Just as I was about to bitch and moan about how slow it is today—and will continue to be thanks to SXSW—I saw someone tweet that Four Tet remixed Justin Timberlake's comeback single, " Suit & Tie ". Yes, you read that correctly. A quick Google search lead to a pair of embeddable players, both of which I've included here out of fear that they, you know, get taken down with a quickness. Even if they do, the mere fact that Four Tet chose to remix this track makes him that much more awesome. Listen below. [...]

Club driven tunes and Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet have been inseparable over the past year. It feels like ages ago when the man controlling the dancefloor was making music more in tune with his more jazz and hip-hop leaning roots. Alas, thanks to some recent collaborations with RocketNumberNine, that Four Tet is back. The next release on his Text label features last week's " Roseland " with today's "Metropolis" on the flipside. Hebden continues to use Text for the never ending stream of creative output and this jazzy 123 is another much welcomed contribution.

Four Tet, who is the f*cking man by the way, can officially be added to list of artists whose Soundcloud accounts are absolute goldmines. He just uploaded a new collaboration with RocketNumberNine, a brothers duo based out of London who blend jazz and electronics with a drums-heavy approach. That sound is very clear here on "Roseland", a minimalist romp that clocks in at eight minutes. You won't even realize the track is that long, though, as it casually moves from one groove to the next with some damn-good percussion. Listen below.

Shorthanded Goals is a feature that melds the best of both worlds. More new artists wanting to catch your eyes and ears and hearts – whether they be free giveaways from albums I’ve already covered, or free tracks sent to me that I never got the chance to listen to from bands/readers/whoever, or maybe even the usual PR and label goodies that arrive on the regular. These are the tracks I end up missing, so you get first dibs. Think of yourself as the last line of defense. MP3s: MP3: Ghost Beach [...]
Kieran Hebden's evolution as an artist has been fascinating to watch over the years. His sound has continued to transform, taking on new shapes and forms with each and every release. Ten years ago, he released a true masterpiece in Rounds . To celebrate that milestone in his career, and to hopefully turn some his newer fans on to his older tunes, Kieran plans on dropping a rerelease of Rounds. Not only that, but the album will come with some bonus material, which includes a bonus CD recording of a performance in Copenhagen from 2003. The reissue is [...]
