Summer is totally taking it's time to show up this year. It's a bummer. People feel blue, people feel down. A little wander in the tube (metro) here in Paris will give you a quick snapshot of the current ambiance and grey, stormy cloud that's stuck above our heads. None the less, we're here to bring smiles on your faces. You can download this great selection of feel good tracks when you like us on Facebook and enjoy your Sunday like no one else (at least the unfortunate people that have no idea of the existence of Sundaze Playlist... ![[video] Holy Ghost! – Dumb Disco Ideas](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4952221_lg.jpg)
We've been waiting for quite some time for a new Holy Ghost! track. Our fantasy has just been fulfilled yesterday with the release of 'Dumb Disco Ideas' by the delightful duo's from almighty DFA stable. It's brilliant, and still holds the almighty 4 measures gold algo-rhythm to its beats. You can still feel the aura of LCD Soundsystem in everything they do at DFA. For sure. Join them on tour with New Order this July, full tour details + Passport mp3s below... Click here to view the embedded video. [...]
With all the proficiency of technical metal, the fun of punk and the rough-edged raw aesthetic of post hardcore, this group surely deserve to take on the wider world of math punk soon. By Kunal Singhal

Marie-Flore is French , Parisian in fact. Sings in English and holds her name from a Joan Baez song. She played violin for 8 years, until the guitar finally came into her life. Since then she has never stopped writing & performing across Europe, but has always kept one foot close to her roots, in her native France & its wonderful parisian venues. She embodies the contemporary ‘do it yourself’ attitude with everything from her videos & illustrations, she creates everything to transpire, live her music.. She's already got an album under the belt and a few gigs to her resume. She is [...]

According to the poster, this is about 40 minutes of French television from 1966. It includes The Merseys, Georgie Fame (always welcome around here) with some Memphis-style horns, the Who, one very hip French DJ, and some other treats. The Georgie Fame footage looks to be from a similar collection of footage from the Ram Jam Club that we saw back in January when I posted this amazing film of Junior Walker and the All Stars. Otherwise I've had difficulty digging up any info on this. Maybe Bedazzled knows?

This is amazing and a must see for fans of the Velvet Underground - fantastic footage shot in France in 1972. It marked the occasion of the first appearance together of Lou Reed, John Cale & Nico, since the break up of the band that these three appeared on stage together. Recordings have been bootlegged over the years (now available legally ), but I've never seen the footage. Just amazing! Unfortunately I can't post it here as embedding has been disabled, but you can see it here on YouTube .

Bloum is a young group from around Paris, made up of two acoustic/electronic musicians and two visual artists. The band produces electro creations, influenced by artists like Four Tet, Burial , XXYYXX , Pachanga Boys , Nicolas Jaar ... right up to Magic Malik . They contacted me to showcase their work. I fell in love with their sound. And even more when they uploaded 'Flower Dress' to their Soundcloud profile. It's easy what I would call "Slolectro". A mix between Employee Of The Year's Slow French genre and some more up-lifting Electro. [...]

Still sweating from their first headlining gig at Espace B yesterday evening, I bring you today the total awesomeness that is Blue Hawaii live. Do not be fooled by the relative calm aura to the tracks they've posted here and there on the interwebs. This duo from Montreal, signed to the same record gang Arbutus, also home to Grimes, Majical Cloudz and many others from 'that' very talented and forthcoming Canadian scene. A live performance by Blue Hawaii is what you need to witness first and foremost. While their material sounds gentle and soothing on your home-stereo, the [...]

Oh boy. This is how you do a cover. Luxembourg's beguiling Monophona have put together this pulse-racing cover of Morrissey's gloom-laden classic, Every Day Is Like Sunday . Firmly stamping their own identity on to the track, their re-working is a stark and transfixing mix of ice-cold synths and Claudine Muno's breathy, transfixing vocals that prick at the skin throughout. The band released their debut album, The Spy , late last year and have been slowly charming the wider-world ever since, culminating in their first ever UK live [...]
