With their new role as official Relentless artists alongside Zane Lowe and Professor Green , they have obviously impressed with the amount of energy and passion they have for music. Live: Pure Love (w/ Turbogeist and The Vestals) at The Deaf Institute, Manchester

Live: Pure Love (w/ Turbogeist and The Vestals) at The Deaf Institute, Manchester © 2013 Anthony Barlow When Frank Carter left Gallows behind for pastures new, many were confused with the new direction the punk frontman had taken. His new band, Pure Love, have a more traditional rock and roll round and were far more melodious than the hardcore sound his fans may have been used to. In all honesty, I was never a fan of Gallows and Pure Love's first single reminded me more of, semi-novelty glam rock four-piece, The Darkness than the fresh, cool, punk n roll it was supposed to be. Regardless, I went into their [...]

Pure Love – Riot Song, le clip

Pure Love - Riot Song

Album: Gallows – Gallows

Album: Gallows – Gallows Gallows Gallows PIAS Recordings 10 September 2012 It still sounds like Gallows. That’s the important thing. Sure, Frank Carter – the angry ginger kid spitting blood and guts at the front – is gone, but it still sounds like Gallows. It’s the rule, isn’t it? Whoever shouts loudest gets all the credit but, despite the cries of many immediately after his departure, there was always more to this band than just one man. While their truly iconic former singer can never be replaced like-for-like, here are 32 minutes explaining why Gallows [...]

You'll also know we are very excited about hearing it some more. This is why we   think you should be excited about it too. Six reasons why you should be excited about the new Gallows album: -- 1) BECAUSE SELF-TITLED NON-DEBUT ALBUMS ARE A STATEMENT OF INTENT [...]

Clipe: Pure Love – Handsome Devils’ Club

Pure Love - Handsome Devil's Club

An album is expected later this year but this song should get people talking not to mention put a new song in your head for the next few days. If you like it [...]

Pure Love played a gig. As promised, it sounds nothing like Gallows

Pure Love played a gig. As promised, it sounds nothing like Gallows Happy Valentine's Day! What did you do? Yeah, whatever. While most of the Thrash Hits squadron sat around on the sofa with no girls and even fewer friends, our intrepid Northern photographer, Ben Gibson popped down to Shepherd's Bush to see Pure Love play their first ever show at Bush Hall. You know Pure Love , right? It's the new, expressly non-hardcore band from Frank Carter (ex-Gallows) and Jim Carroll (Hope Conspiracy). It doesn't sound like Gallows. Frank doesn't even sound like he did in The Vulture from [...]

Album: Bastions – Hospital Corners

BASTIONS - VISITANT
Bastions Hospital Corners In At The Deep End Records 24 October 2011 by Hugh Platt To paraphrase the intro paragraph I knocked out almost two years ago when I first reviewed a Bastions release for Thrash Hits, stop reading this intro paragraph, stop whatever else you're doing right now, and go and buy a copy [...]

Gallows - Leeches & London is the reason
When Gallows announced Wade MacNeil as their new frontman back in August, they gave us a taste of what we could expect their future to sound like by way of 'True Colours'. Gallows - True Colours
Yesterday Gallows released their first post-Frank music - a 40-second blast of punk fury going by the name of 'True Colours'. Check out the new song, 'True Colours', down below: [...]

Musicians React to London Riots

Filed under: News David Goddard, Getty Over the past four days, riots in London have rocked the British capitol with vandalism, fires and violence. Since the start of the troubles, artists have taken to Twitter and Facebook to express their dismay. "Where the f--- are the Bullingdon boys? What's wrong you c---s? Would you only end your holidays if it were Fortnum & Mason being looted?" Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos asked of his [...]
