Here's the second single from Teen Daze 's forthcoming The Inner Mansions LP, which is out November 6 through Lefse . "Union" is nearly a complete departure from just about everything Teen Daze has done in the past, swapping his usual lithe rhythms for something much more addictively bright and poppy. That this track also features Soft Signal favourite Frankie Rose is just icing on the cake. And in case you missed it, be sure to stream last week's single, "New Life" . Vancouver producer Teen Daze has teamed with up with Brooklyn songbird Frankie Rose for "Union", the latest single off Teen Daze's second album of 2012, Inner Mansions . Backed by the garage-rock rumble of pounding drums and hollowed organs, the makeshift duo's imperfect harmonies help craft a sort of DIY-version of a '50s teenybopper love song. Stream it below. Inner Mansions hits stores on November 6th via Lefse Records. In case you missed it, be [...]
Here's a new song, Union , by the artist who calls himself Teen Daze . It features vocals by Frankie Rose .

From Canadian producer Teen Daze's second album this year, check out "Union." The hyper-lo-fi single features an astutely fitting Frankie Rose , who fits into the dreamy sounds as well as one could imagine. The Inner Mansions is slated for release November 6, via Lefse Records .
Vivian Girls Katy Goodman and Cassie Ramone were quite productive a year ago. Each just released side project albums as well as a full-length from the band , which was supported by a tour. Now, Goodman is back with a second album, Sees the Light , from her solo effort, La Sera . Yet, another original member of the band - former drummer Frankie Rose - is grabbing the most attention with her new release, Interstellar . Rose, who plays Township in [...]
Going solo is the best decision Frankie Rose made in her career so far, and her forthcoming album "Interstellar" (out Feb. 21 on Slumberland Records) is without a doubt solid proof. Going beyond the lo-fi girl-pop tunes she offered on her self-titled debut in 2010 with backing band the Outs, Rose boldly dives so deep into waves of reverb-coated dream-pop on this solo effort, any C86 fan would find it difficult to deny her stunning tsunamis of sparkling synths and spacey harmonies. The Hannah Lew-directed clip for "Gospel/Grace" helps illustrates the melodic odyssey but only scratches the surface [...]

[Brooklyn edition: A few East coast dream-pop rockers we wish had some West coast tour dates.] Frankie Rose , "Know Me" — Although Frankie Rose bounced around from band to band during 2008 when bands started paying homage to the C86 era (Vivian Girls, Crystal Stilts, Dum Dum Girls), her solo material was still released under the moniker Frankie Rose and the Outs. Now she returns with the follow-up, "Interstellar" (out Jan. 17 via Slumberland Records), and it's released under her [...]
We've been posting a lot of this strange industrial electropop music, so I figured I'd just keep on doing. Brooklyn is being taken over by this 'ethereal' and 'cross-generational' movement. Chillwave, dancewave, acid drop wave, etc. Frankie Rose, founding member and whatever for Vivian Girls and drummer in Crystal Stilts, has some new music. The [...]

Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News , New Music What's not to love about Frankie Rose and the Outs ? They smile big, wear little black dresses and remind us what the Cramps and Ramones saw in '50s and '60s pop music. Wednesday night at Glasslands Gallery in Brooklyn, N.Y., the foursome cruised through nine songs in 30 minutes, and that was including the time it took Rose to fix a malfunctioning effects pedal.
