To be a highlight from Frank Ocean 's already outstanding debut Channel Orange is an achievement in itself, but "Pink Matter", which features André 3000 , has now become even better. Serving as an Outkast reunion of sorts, Big Boi drops his remix of the crooner's smooth beat, deftly blending his raps amongst the funky basslines and sultry guitar riffs. Earlier this month we wrote about Andre 3000 and Big Boi reuniting for a remix of Frank Ocean's song 'Pink Matter' , and on Friday night it finally found its way online. The remix, which appeared on Big Boi's Soundcloud page on Friday evening, feels like less of a remix and more of a Big Boi edit by means of him laying a solid verse in between Frank's verses and Andre 3000's original rap. Si ustedes habían estado esperando por alguna reunión de Outkast, pues lo mas probable es que tengan que seguir esperandola ya que al parecer, no hay un interés realmente por parte de André 3000 para revivir esa elegante aventura en un futuro cercano, así que creo que por ahora se tendrán que conformar con este remix que Big Boi armó para la colaboración que hizo André en el aclamado álbum de Frank Ocean titulado "Channel Orange", el cual ya no hace falta mencionar que fue uno de los que mas desfiló por los primeros lugares de los listados [...]
A homie and I recently took a long road trip from CHI to MIA. On the way back I decided to listen to the original mix of this track. To my surprise all this joint got was complaints, no love and more bitching "Dude when's this gonna drop, I'm bout to fall out".... There can be no clearer sign that JamandaHalf has to spread its wings again than a new song featuring Outkast (or is it Andre 3000 + Big Boi?). Regardless, hearing the two on the same song again is undeniably a treat, especially when it's on one of best jams of 2012, Frank Ocean's "Pink Matter."
