Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Miguel, Trent Reznor, Skrillex, and Usher were among the early winners at the 2013 Grammy Awards' pre-show telecast. Imagine the dismay of many upon learning that Frank Ocean would be making his SNL debut with the likes of John Mayer. I guess it could've been worse. My only qualm was the direction that Ocean decided to take with "Pyramids" live and the ending. Did we really need to see Mayer do an albeit sweet guitar solo despite the spotlight really being on Frank Ocean to end the song? On the upside, the official video for "Pyramids" looks like Ocean had a crazy visit (are there any other kind) with Hunter S. Thompson in "Fear in [...]

FRANK OCEAN’s debut full-length album has just dropped and the man has everyone talking about his smooth vocals, his heart and soul dripped lyrics and the classic R&B grooves. ‘Sweet Life’ comes to us as the third single off the Channel Orange LP. The track swings mid-tempo for much of the song, and gets full with more elements picking up throughout. The track has a masterful hand of its instruments bringing together live and electronic sounds creating these blissful electro-soul grooves. The man is also [...]

Frank Ocean. You've probably heard the name quite a bit in the past week in one way or another. And while a lil 'ol blog like Mixtape Muse writing about a buzzed about artist might seem like an attempt to ride the coattails of that buzzwave in an attempt to increase our amount of hits, it's really not. We here at Mixtape Muse have been fans of Ocean (born Christopher Breaux) since last year's debut Nostalgia, Ultra mixtape. And so, I feel I must share Frank Ocean's performance from Monday night's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." [...]
The momentous television premiere of Frank Ocean came shortly after the early-scheduled release of Channel Orange , which you can expect to have a lot of hype around it by now. That album, by the way, is available for free stream here . In debut performance, Ocean dropped an orchestrated rendition of "Bad Religion" along with the always-appreciated help from The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon . Check it out below.

Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News Getty Images for Coachella With a title like "Bad Religion," it's no surprise Frank Ocean had a church organ commence his performance of the track on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" Monday night (July 10). Wearing his signature red-and-white bandana and a white T-shirt covered by a maroon-and-black coat, the Odd Future affiliate made his first televised [...]

I realize that FPT is not your normal go-to source for R&B and Hip-Hop news, but this performance is just too good not to share. There is just so much to say about Frank Ocean, but I will let his television performance debut speak for itself (for now). Check out "Bad Religion" below, the first track from his debut album Channel Orange .

After just one day, Frank Ocean's Channel Orange is sitting atop the US and UK iTunes. Coming out wasn't such a bad move after all. Of course, this stunning debut television appearance on Fallon didn't exactly hurt either.

Since last week, the attention has not strayed too far from Frank Ocean. His Def Jam debut LP, channel ORANGE , was not supposed to hit music outlets (both digitally and physically) until July 17 but Ocean pulled a fast one on the public and released the digital version to iTunes before midnight, this morning. Ocean did the same thing with the release of nostalgia, ULTRA ; leaving very little time to let the info soak in before the project's release. With all that's happened thus far, [...]

Frank Ocean just decided to release his album, "Channel Orange," via iTunes a week ahead of schedule. In even better news, you can stream the full album via Ocean's Tumblr . The media blitz started a couple of weeks ago when he wrote his open letter to the world about his love life and what he's been keeping close to the vest. The album plays as one of the best baby making albums of the year. Your move,"Fifty Shades of Grey!" Ocean's performance including a string session and the Roots might be one of the better [...]

Channel Orange has got twitter going crazy now and this performance by Frank Ocean will do the same. Frank hits Jimmy Fallon and performs a mind blowing version of Bad Religion . Ocean's performance is flawless, watch and see.
For someone whom MJF was just pondering how to prevent his debut album from flopping , things have certainly turned around in the promo department. Just a few minutes ago, Frank Ocean appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to pub his debut album, Channel Orange , with a live performance. Backed by a string orchestra, Frank took to the stage to perform 'Bad Religion.' The track tells the devastating tale of unrequited love, and is the notorious track that preceded Frank's revelation on [...]
