To be a highlight from Frank Ocean 's already outstanding debut Channel Orange is an achievement in itself, but "Pink Matter", which features André 3000 , has now become even better. Serving as an Outkast reunion of sorts, Big Boi drops his remix of the crooner's smooth beat, deftly blending his raps amongst the funky basslines and sultry guitar riffs. This isn't exactly the Outkast reunion you hoped for, but we'll allow it on our iPods and replace this with the Big Boi-less version in our playlists. "Pink Matter" was already such a dope song and Big Boi's addition only makes it better. While it remains unclear when we will get some new original music from Outkast , today marks the first track featuring both MCs in about five years as Big Boi hops on the remix of Frank Ocean 's Andre 3000 collaboration, "Pink Matter." As expected, the result is pretty awesome and is a must listen for any music fan. Hopefully we see a project from the legends in 2013, but for now enjoy this slice of dopeness below. Here it is, Big Boi and André 3000 together again, thanks to Big Boi's remix of "Pink Matter." He tones down his usually animated flow to keep this super smooth, but even with the buttery delivery he manages to bring out a little funk from that rubbery bass. This one premiered on Elliott Wilson's Keep It Thoro show tonight.
