Hey ya'll. I'm trying something new here, making a mix and all. As long as Marc doesn't fire/murder me, this should be a monthly feature, so be stoked. What I've done here is thrown together 14 of my favorite tracks from the beautiful month of April. Any and all genres were up for grabs but O'm no professional DJ, and I'm not even using proper software for the job, so bear with me as I learn and improve for future mixes. But yo Junkies, because I'm so nice - I'll provide you with myriad forms of listening. [...]
In 2010, I became obsessed with OFWGKTA [Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, for quick reference]. Following the release of Tyler’s Bastard at the end of 2009, a friend sent me a link and I became enamored with the world of Tyler, Earl, Hodgy, Frank Ocean and company. Tyler was one of the first artists I saw rise from underground anonymity to huge success story and subsequently provided me with my first hipster feelings of “HEY, I TOTALLY KNEW ABOUT THAT GUY BEFORE HE WAS FAMOUS”. It’s been over two years since “Yonkers” first blew up, and even [...]
It was only my third gig of 2013, though Young Fathers' rice 'n' pea-powered Shacklewell Arms showing remains one of the finer evenings out of this one thus far. The off-kilt hip hop trio appeared to come of age there and then upon that most oily of stages, and an incontestable highlight came in the surprisingly refined form of a then unknown track as we now know entitled I Heard. You can hear it below, and combining the slow burn balladry en vogue at the moment having been favoured by all and sundry from Tyler, The Creator [...]
Did You Hear? :: One Direction 's Harry Styles was spotted heading to the studio alone, and immediately rumors circulated that he was embarking on a solo career. Well, his rep says he was in the studio working on new 1D material: "Harry is not recording solo material. All of the band are working on tracks for their third album[...] The boys sometimes work up ideas separately." Good news all around! [ Daily Mail ] :: Tyler, the Creator and Frank Ocean wrote [...]

Did You Hear? :: The rumor that Kanye West 's next album would be called I Am God turned out to be false. But it looks like the album will, in fact, have a song called "I Am A God." This according to an unnamed G.O.O.D. Music source as well as a tweet from West collaborator Malik Yusef . [ Huffington Post ] :: We thought Robin Thicke , T.I. and Pharrell seemed to be having a little too much fun [...]

So now that the masses have been convinced enough of an "official" track list for Tyler The Creator 's upcoming Wolf , no time is wasted in supplying fans with the 3-in-1 "PartyIsntOver/Campfire/Bimmer " featuring assistance from both Stereolab's Laetitia Sadier and Frank Ocean . The three are truly entirely independent of one another in this 7+ minute stream, but one can only be sure that there's a reason they're presented together. Enjoy below and anticipate Wolf next week on April 2nd. The post [...]

Tyler, The Creator 's new record Wolf is approaching and people are certainly buzzing about it. Yet, one of the most anticipated tracks is the 7 minute jam called "PartyIsntOver/Campfire/Bimmer ” featuring Frank Ocean and Stereolab 's front woman Lætitia Sadier . It's an interesting track that changes up, considering it is technically three tracks in one, and it is a lot more mellow compared to "Domo 23." But the chill vibes suite the trio well. Stream below and let us know what you think. Fresh? [...]

For a while now, a rumored, unconfirmed tracklist for Tyler, The Creator's forthcoming album Wolf has been floating around the internet, and the most surprising thing about it was that Dave Matthews was supposedly featured on one song. This seemed unlikely, but it also seemed like the sort of contrarian stunt-move that Tyler could conceivably make. As it turns out, that fake tracklist was almost entirely accurate, but Dave Matthews isn't on it. Still, there's a rich cast of collaborators on board, including Erykah Badu, former Stereolab co-leader Laetitia Sadier, Frank Ocean, [...]

Must.Share.This.Funky.Vibe. Deep house has really come into it's own over the last two years, despite always being in the background, it can arguably be said that Disclosure's 'Latch' revived the scene somewhat. Anyway, we did not come here to argue about the Deep House movement, we came to listen to some funky ass music. And [...]
