Gibbs and his ESGN crew took a trip to San Bernardino, California over the weekend for Fred's set with Madlib, at Paid Dues. Called one of hour, notable sets at the festival by LA Weekly, Gibbs and Madlib ran through a slew of classic tracks as well as a recent fan favorite, "Shame" featuring BJ The Chicago Kid. Gangsta Gibbs linked with Pitchfork 's newest installment of animated series Frames to remember the King of Pop visiting their hometown of Gary, Indiana. Pitchfork's mostly absurd Frames series continues today with a feature on Freddie Gibbs and his native Gary, Ind. As you might already know, Michael Jackson also hailed from there and one day, he and Gibbs crossed paths when the late music legend spoke at a baseball stadium. That same afternoon, he pulled up at a Kentucky Fried Chicken and ordered hundreds of extra crispy pieces ... only to toss them into the crowd of fans at the stadium.
